State Licensed Bethany Christian Services in Nashville Provides Foster Care to UACs

Why hasn’t Bethany Christian been asked to testify to the Tennessee Joint Study Committee on Refugees whose charge is to address the situation with UAC arrivals to the state? Why is this organization being shielded from legislative and administrative scrutiny?

Tennessee’s Dept. of Children’s Services (DCS) has known or should have known all along that they licensed Bethany Christian Services to provide foster care services to UACs* arriving in Tennessee.

Recall, that DCS was grilled by the Joint Study Committee over their licensing of the Baptiste Group, a federal contractor which was providing housing and other services to UACs in Chattanooga.

Like Baptiste Group, Bethany Christian (BC) is a federal contractor with the U.S. Office of Refugee Resettlement and gets paid by the federal government to provide services to arriving UACs. Unlike Baptiste which provided the housing itself, BC finds foster care parents to house children smuggled to the border until they are placed with a self-identified sponsor.

According to Amy Scott, Nashville Branch Director at Bethany Christian, “our role is to care for children who flee to the U.S. without their families, reunite families, and restore communities.” Further down in her January 2021 Tennessean op-ed she makes it clear that she is talking about UACs and discloses that they have provided transitional (short-term) foster care to 8,000 arriving UACs since 2013.

Scott suggests only good Christians support illegal immigration

BC is among the largest adoption and foster care providers in the country and has multiple offices in other states. In Tennessee BC operates in Nashville, Knoxville, Chattanooga, Johnson City and Memphis, so it is not clear whether Scott’s reference to the 8,000 UACs served refers solely to Tennessee.

According to BC’s website Nashville is the only Tennessee location providing foster care to UACs at this time but they are actively seeking to expand “beyond [the] locations” listed.

BC is also an advocate for increasing the number of overseas refugees to be resettled in the U.S..

Without question, BC is in the same business as the Baptiste Group. The sole difference between them is that Baptiste operated a facility where the UACs were housed whereas BC farms the UACs out to paid foster care homes.

Both Baptiste and BC are responsible for releasing a UAC to self-identified sponsors who present themselves. BC is responsible for vetting the self-identified UAC sponsor. Data indicates that  approximately 78% of UAC sponsors are here illegally themselves. And some “vetted” sponsors have turned out to be labor traffickers like those in the August 2021 investigation.

Both Baptiste and BC get paid by the federal government for these services.

Both Baptiste and BC are licensed by the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services but only Baptiste was ever discussed by the Joint Legislative Committee on Refugees. In fact, the committee legislators made a big show about going after the Baptiste Group once it became public that Baptiste was being paid to provide transitional housing and services to UAC arrivals in Chattanooga. DCS was grilled about the licensing.

Why hasn’t BC been called to account for facilitating illegal immigration with UACs by the Joint Legislative Study Committee on Refugees? Why hasn’t DCS been questioned about its licensing for BC?

The Joint Committee’s agenda for its upcoming meeting on October 12th, appears to be going after federal ORR contractors which have been identified for providing services to UACs arriving in Tennessee.

Bethany Christian Services is not included – why not? How credible is this Joint Committee or these legislators if they are willing to shield a self-identified UAC provider?

*BC insists that UACs “in the transitional foster care program are not illegal immigrants.” The Congressional Research Service (CRS) which refers to itself as Congress’ “think tank” writes, “[u]naccompanied alien children are statutorily defined as children who lack lawful immigration status in the United States, are under age 18, and lack a parent or legal guardian in the United States or a parent or legal guardian in the United States who is available to provide care and physical custody.” All UACs are illegal entrants until they receive some form of adjudicated immigration relief.

Gov Bill Lee and The Unsavory Groups Aiding Unvetted, Unvaccinated Unknown Refugees.

Thanks to Gov Bill Lee and wealthy “charitable” organizations,  Nashville Tennessee is preparing  to accept hundreds of Muslims from war torn Afghanistan.  It should not come as a surprise though, back in December of 2019, Bill Lee changed course and accepted refugees, despite knowing Tennesseans were not in favor of it. It also should not be a surprise as 10 days after being sworn in, Bill Lee met with a group of Muslims from the American Muslim Advisory Council (AMAC), whose ties to radical Muslim Brotherhood front groups are well known.

It isn’t about being “anti-Muslim”, it is about being pro-America. The safety and security of Americans, including Tennesseans is supposed to be most important to our elected officials, but it is not. Do not believe for one second Afghani refugees are facing the proper practice of being vetted. Vetting is an 18 month to 3 year process and there have been several flown into military bases that are heading to the gates and disappearing into our towns. Do not believe the Muslims from Afghanistan are different from the Muslims here in America, as they all recite the shahada, the most unifying of the five pillars, and do not believe their goal is any different..the return of the global caliphate where Islam reigns supreme. This “hijrah” or the migration of Muslims from the lands of Islam to the land of Shirk (sin) is necessary to achieve their end goal..the caliphate.

So could there be a terrorists within the hundreds coming to TN?  Statistically, most likely, some violent and some who will continue to spread dawah(the invitation to join Islam) Lets look at the organizations “assisting” 300 Afghans dripping into Nashville.

Since the American Muslim Advisory Council (AMAC) is the forerunner to settling these refugees, one should be familiar with who they align with. Sabina Moyhuddin, executive director and public face of AMAC has no qualms stating American Muslims hold true to their “religious” values. In 2013 during a what was supposed to be a forum held for Muslims in Manchester TN, (which included the FBI and then US District Attorney Bill Killian) Ms. Moyhuddin equated those values to that of the Muslim Brotherhoods Fiqh Council of North America, and The Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA). Both recognized Muslim Brotherhood organizations. Remember, the Muslim Brotherhood is a designated terror organization in many middle east countries.

The American Muslim Advisory Council (AMAC) was formed in 2011 to oppose legislation to the anti terrorism material support bill which was created to enhance security for all Tennesseans. Daoud Abudiab was Co-chair of AMAC in its infancy, after which he founded the interfaith organization “Faith and Culture Center” in Nashville TN. Abudiab was also on the board of the Tennessee Immigrant and Refugee Rights Coalition (TIRRC), a leftist, group that promotes open borders, illegal immigration and voting privileges for all as well. Abudiab sends a mixed message as he pushes rhetoric that likens Islam to Christianity, that all gods are the same, and that he loves America, while backing groups that seek to destroy everything America stands for. Included in those groups is a very dangerous, terrorist organization, that Abudiab has been connected to. The United States Council on Muslim Organizations (USCMO) is a Muslim Brotherhood/Hamas conglomerate considered to be their first political party within the United States. In February of 2016, Abudiab attended the first ever conference held in the West which brought together a who’s who of radical leaders from every Muslim Brotherhood front group in America, including CAIR/Hamas.

Zulfat Suara, the current treasurer of AMAC who also is an at large member of the Metro Nashville Council seems to do and say all the right things,  however she also affiliates with individuals and organizations that are dangerous and hateful. In 2018, Ms. Suara was given an award for her work in public policy by the largest Muslim Brotherhood organization in the United States, the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), which falls under their parent group, the North American Islamic Trust (NAIT). According to federal court papers and the FBI, ISNA is the number one “friend” of the Brotherhoods front groups present in America.

Unfortunately, Ms.Sulfat’s choices of who she rubs elbows with doesn’t end with just the unsavory Muslim Brotherhood, but rather the openly anti Jewish, America haters in Congress Rashida Tlaib, and Ilhan Omar. Both who also support Muslim Brotherhood organizations, as well as Hezbollah and Hamas.

Accepting an award, and attending anything involving the Muslim Brotherhood is not good, as the stated goal by this group is the destruction of America and the West as we know it. This excerpt is from the “Explanatory Memorandum” which was submitted into evidence as part of the Holy Land Foundation Trial in 2008 in Dallas Texas. See entire document here, again English follows Arabic text

The process of settlement is a “Civilization-Jihadist Process” with all the word means. The Ikhwan [Muslim Brotherhood] must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and “sabotaging” its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God’s religion is made victorious over all other religions. Without this level of understanding, we are not up to this challenge and have not prepared ourselves for Jihad yet. It is a Muslim’s destiny to perform Jihad and work wherever he is and wherever he lands until the final hour comes, and there is no escape from that destiny except for those who chose to slack. But, would the slackers and the Mujahedeen be equal.”

These are the organizations each member of AMAC has a relationship with. This list was part of a document presented into evidence in a federal trial in Dallas TX, called the Holy Land Foundation trial.

All this to say, Governor Bill Lee met with members of this group at least twice. The very Governor who believes refugees should be here in TN, despite where they come from, and despite the ideology they hold is completely antithetical to our Constitution and way of life.

Coming in part two, how the TN General Assembly allocated $7 million dollars to Catholic Charities, who also is helping refugees settle here in TN.

Tennessee’s School Boards..The Downfall of Education and the Rise of Indoctrination

For decades, American parents and community members have elected those they believed had their child’s best interests in mind when it came to their education.  Today, In hundreds of cities, and counties across the country, education is no longer the priority, social justice is.

A new culture exists not only to further dumb down children, but now to exploit their race, gender, and status. It is called Critical Race Theory (CRT). Beware though, those 3 words may not be present in curriculum or instructional material, but parents should note the presence of terms such as diversity, equity, equality,  anti-racism, social justice and civil rights.

Do not for one second think your child is not being exposed to todays cancel culture or a teacher’s radical ideology, it is everywhere, and if it has not reared its ugly head in your community yet, look closer, it is there. Fortunately, in many states, teaching CRT has been banned by state laws, but unfortunately, many of those laws lack teeth.

Parents need to demand their school board members carefully monitor their teachers and instructional materials. Despite curriculum aligning with states standards, CRT can be introduced with classroom videos, books and websites that never are talked about at home. Textbooks no longer are the sole source of questionable instruction because parents took control of their content when common core was introduced.

In Tennessee, a new state law defines what can and cannot be taught regarding CRT

  The Tennessee law  prohibits the following:

  (1) One race or sex is inherently superior to another race or sex;

(2) An individual, by virtue of the individual’s race or sex, is inherently privileged, racist, sexist, or oppressive, whether consciously or subconsciously

(3) An individual should be discriminated against or receive adverse treatment because of the individual’s race or sex;

(4) An individual’s moral character is determined by the individual’s race or sex;

(5) An individual, by virtue of the individual’s race or sex, bears responsibility for actions committed in the past by other members of the same race or sex;

(6) An individual should feel discomfort, guilt, anguish, or another form of psychological distress solely because of the individual’s race or sex;

(7) A meritocracy is inherently racist or sexist, or designed by a particular race or sex to oppress members of another race or sex;

(8) This state or the United States is fundamentally or irredeemably racist or sexist;

9) Promoting or advocating the violent overthrow of the United States government;

(10) Promoting division between, or resentment of, a race, sex, religion, creed, nonviolent political affiliation, social class, or class of people; or

(11) Ascribing character traits, values, moral or ethical codes, privileges, or beliefs to a race or sex, or to an individual because of the individual’s race or sex.

This isn’t educating children, this is bullying them. Interestingly enough, schools in Tennessee have bullying and harassment policies that every one of the above points encourages. Imagine a teacher wanting to harm the very children they are charged with caring for. Even worse imagine a school board member thinking of CRT as only a political wedge.

That is exactly what Mr. Pat Barton of  the Coffee County TN School Board believes. On July 19th, I sent an email to the entire school board along with the Director, asking them their opinion of CRT, and how they would respond if a teacher was found to be violating TN law that prohibits teaching CRT as stated in above points.

Mr. Barton’s answer was disgraceful, and this should grate on every parent.   “CRT is nothing more than the flavor of the month, and we will have another flavor next year. Our fine legislators will see that when bills are passed as hastily as this do nothing but cause confusion and take the focus off teaching and learning. You have asked how I will react if one of our teachers disobeys the law and incorporates CRT into his/her instruction.  I will ask to see the state standard the teacher was teaching in the lesson. I will then ask to see the lesson plan for the lesson taught.  I will then make a determination if factual information was taught. Once I am satisfied that my criteria was met. a reply will be given. My reply to the teacher will be, “Job well done, keep up the good work!”

Teaching children America is racist and that black children are oppressed is the flavor of the month? Being flippant regarding a very dangerous ideology, and then implying he may condone a teacher breaking a law sends a message he is no longer fit to be a school board member.

Mr Barton further states: “One area that is prohibited from being taught is, “Promoting the violent overthrow of the U.S. government”.  I personally don’t know of any teacher who has ever promoted the overthrow of the U.S. government.  How would I react if we had a teacher promoting such?  My vote would be to dismiss the teacher.  However, our students don’t need teachers promoting the overthrow of our government. They have lived during an attempted overthrow of our government. They can research the  last year in office of our former president to understand how to plan for an overthrow to come about. They can then find videos to observe the violence that occured when the U.S. Capitol was breached. However, one can refuse to believe their lying eyes and conclude the breach was nothing more than a typical Capitol tour”.

Another red flag. Mr. Pat Barton insinuates his personal beliefs. Whether factual or not, or proven or not. This is exactly why CRT was banned.  On a side topic, Mr. Barton also expressed during a school board meeting parents need to get their children vaccinated. None of Mr. Barton’s business.

None of the other Coffee County board members felt it was important enough to answer my email, leaving one to think silence is complicity.

Parents, and community members the ball is in your court. Perhaps today CRT is not an issue in our small county, but undoubtedly tomorrow it will be. These are your children. Stand up for them, and stop being cowards. Demand, DEMAND, school boards do what they were elected to do,  and not to promote their personal agendas. Today’s children are the leaders of tomorrow. School for them isn’t about exceptionalism, it’s all about learning how to be little socialist activists.

Critical Race Theory..The New Bullying. Part 2

Critical Race Theory is not about “telling the truth “about history.  It is not about exceptionalism, and a child reaching their maximum potential. It is not about student growth and preparedness for a good future. It is not about students constructively, or fairly learning the sins of our nation.

Critical Race Theory is about the destruction of your children’s educations. It is about dividing children into classes based on their skin color. It is about reparations for events that happened before any teacher or child was born. It is about hate. It is about enhancing a flawed, and deceptive view on history to benefit a race that blames everyone for what they feel is oppression.  It is based on lies.

So why are teachers, unions, and organizations pushing this tale?  To create mini social justice activists that in time, will rise against the basic institutions and beliefs the United States of America was founded on.  It will turn children away from their parents, and the values they instilled in them. It will create a country filled with radicals that seek to dismantle and alter the fabric of our Constitution and faith.

This is why so may states have passed legislation to ban the teaching of a “theory”.

This is also why the largest teachers union, the National Education Association (NEA) has proclaimed they will defend and protect teachers who break their state laws. At a recent virtual annual meeting and representative assembly, an “action” was adopted that promotes the following.

This is not education, this is indoctrination.

In an article published in the Dailywire by Luke Rosiak on June 21 2021, he exposes hundreds of teachers throughout the country that have vowed to teach CRT, despite many of their respective states banning it. The following is the names of teachers in Tennessee that have made this pledge.

Parents, no matter what school district you live in..city, county, big or small..it is imperative you fight this. In Tennessee, the Teachers Education Association and it’s smaller affiliates like the Coffee County Education Association, all fall under the National Education Association. It is up to the parents, and the community to hold not just the local districts responsible, but individual teachers who whether openly, or privately have decided to break the law.

As discussed in Part one, Tennessee’s Education Commissioner, Penny Schwinn has been given approval to withhold state funds from any districts that are found to be teaching CRT. The problem with that is many districts need that funding, and eventually it will be those students will suffer the most. Perhaps it is time we rethink who is responsible, and hold teachers breaking the law to the same standard any other law breakers face. Steep fines, and the loss of their teachers license would profoundly affect those that defy the law.

So what can parents and community members do? Considering children are our most important assets for our future, start attending school board meetings! Learn who your elected school board members are and contact them. Ask those uncomfortable questions, and demand answers. Now is not the time to be afraid to speak out..our future depends on it.

Look at who  your local school district union leaders are. What are their beliefs? What statements have they made on social media or in school resource papers? In Coffee County, English teacher Mike Stein, had this to say regarding the teaching of CRT which was published in the TN Chalkbeat news.

The blatant disregard and deceptive description of what CRT is by those charged with teaching our children is not only disgraceful but dangerous. Not only is it putting your child’s school in danger of losing funding, but further instills a sense of violating laws is ok to do if you disagree with them.

Wake up folks, your children are today’s target. It is time to get involved. Say no to Critical Race Theory and to those who teach it.

Critical Race Theory.. The New Bullying. Part 1

Imagine your child being bullied in school, not just from other children but from their teacher. In most states, and their respective school districts, there are strict policies outlining the protocol for reporting and responding to cases of bullying. In Tennessee, on the TN Dept of Educations website, they define bullying here in part:

How many parents would allow their child to be bullied? What if the teacher is doing the bullying? Using Coffee County TN school board policy on bullying as an example, it states :

Wake up parents, when your children to return to school this fall, they will be bullied, but in the form of a new curriculum based solely on race..the white race. It is called Critical Race Theory, and it is bullying at the most dangerous level. In fact, many states, including Tennessee have banned the teaching of CRT due to its anti-white, anti-American agenda. Despite Tennessee’s General Assembly passing a law CRT cannot be used in Tennessee public schools, so far 56 teachers throughout the state have declared they will in fact break the law. Tennessee’s Education Commissioner, Penny Schwinn will have the ability to withhold state funds for school districts that break the law. But where is the accountability and disciplinary action for the teacher who puts the school district in that position? If charges for bullying lead to termination, the same should be done for teachers breaking the law. Revoking their teaching license should also be considered.

To be clear, social justice activist teachers want you to believe Tennessee law bans critical thinking involving unpleasant history, so here is what Tennessee law allows, just as it has in the past.

(1) The history of an ethnic group, as described in textbooks and instructional materials adopted in accordance with present law concerning textbooks and instructional materials;

(2) The impartial discussion of controversial aspects of history;

(3) The impartial instruction on the historical oppression of a particular group of people based on race, ethnicity, class, nationality, religion, or geographic region; or

(4) Historical documents that are permitted under present law, such as the national motto, the national anthem, the state and federal constitutions, state and federal laws, and supreme court decisions.

The Tennessee law does prohibit, as it should :

  (1) One race or sex is inherently superior to another race or sex;

(2) An individual, by virtue of the individual’s race or sex, is inherently privileged, racist, sexist, or oppressive, whether consciously or subconsciously;

(3) An individual should be discriminated against or receive adverse treatment because of the individual’s race or sex;

(4) An individual’s moral character is determined by the individual’s race or sex;

(5) An individual, by virtue of the individual’s race or sex, bears responsibility for actions committed in the past by other members of the same race or sex;

(6) An individual should feel discomfort, guilt, anguish, or another form of psychological distress solely because of the individual’s race or sex;

(7) A meritocracy is inherently racist or sexist, or designed by a particular race or sex to oppress members of another race or sex;

(8) This state or the United States is fundamentally or irredeemably racist or sexist;

(9) Promoting or advocating the violent overthrow of the United States government;

Do not believe for one second the leftist, radical narrative that CRT will teach the truth about history. There is nothing truthful or constructive teaching a false history that whites have been, and still are oppressors, and blacks have been, and still are the oppressed.  That is called racism. White children are being set up to believe they are privileged and are responsible for our nation’s historical sins. Black children will be taught they are oppressed by their classmates, and despite their ability to excel, will be made to feel inferior.

Activist teachers and their unions, have declared they will continue to push this curriculum, no matter what laws will be broken, all at the expense of inserting their opinions as to what your child needs to learn. Teachers who teach children to hate others, and themselves is not about history, but rather relieving themselves of their self-inflicted white guilt.

Critical Race Theory is the bullying of white students, and as bullying is not accepted in classrooms, CRT should not be either.

Next in Part 2, learn who the 56 teachers are, and what parents must be prepared to do.

Et Tu Jim (Cooper)?

Reprinted here with permission from our friends at the new “Jewish Nashville Uncensored” blog.

3,000-plus rockets targeting Israeli civilians was more than enough for U.S. House Republican supporters of Israel to attempt an expedited vote sanction U.S. designated terrorist groups like Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) and governments like Iran which support them.

It wasn’t enough, however, for Tennessee Democrats Rep. Jim Cooper and Steve Cohen to break with Democrats and instead, voted* to block bringing Florida Rep. Brian Mast’s Palestinian International Terrorism Support Prevention Act (H.R.261) bipartisanreauthorization bill to the House floor.

Tennessee Republicans DesJarlais, Rose, Kustoff and Burchett were all co-sponsors of Mast’s bill.

In a very narrow 217-209 vote on Tuesday, May 18th, all Democrats, including Cooper and Cohen, voted to block the move despite the same bill passing unanimously in the House in 2019 although the Senate failed to take up the bill at that time. With the House blocking the bill’s consideration, Rep. Mast, committed to standing with Israel, brought the bill back this session, stating:

“Hamas preaches the destruction of Israel and death to everything we hold dear in the United States.  The recent attacks again show why we must cut off their financial support. But today 200 House Democrats backtracked on their previous support for this bill, and in doing so sent a clear message to the world that they stand with Radical Islamic terrorists like Hamas instead of with our ally Israel.”

Prior to the vote, Minority leader Rep. Kevin McCarthy made clear the importance of once again passing this bill – “[s]upport for Israel should remain a proud, bipartisan, but most of all, clear policy principle in Congress. As our greatest ally in the Middle East faces the most intense siege in 7 years, the House should make it clear to the world that we stand united in support of Israel.”

Today’s media out-of-control anti-Israel bias willingly adopted and spread the propaganda justifying Hamas’ attacks and villainizing Israel’s defense of its citizens – the same propaganda spread by Imam Bahloul in his recent Tennesseean oped. It’s the same propaganda used by Geraldo Rivera to condemn Israel in the name of Palestinian children in Gaza.

However, where are the voices of outrage for Israeli citizens terrorized by indiscriminately fired Hamas rockets? Who protects and speaks for Jewish children in Israel like the three little Fogel children, 11 year old Yoav, 4 year old Elad and their infant sister Hadas, who were murdered in their beds by Palestinian terrorists? The three boys kidnapped and murdered by Hamas? Hallel Yaffa Ariel?

CNN refused to call these acts of savagery terrorism even though the IDF had already said it was “an act of Palestinian terror.”

If this had happened in our country or our state, would our defense be more measured than Israel’s government? Would Nashville’s rabbis and imams who signed onto the “we may be opponents we need not be enemies” letter to the Observer in 2014 continue to stand by a slogan which trivializes Hamas’ vow to wipe the Jewish state off the map and BLM’s commitment to “dismantle the Zionist project”?

Opponents play games. Enemies, like Hamas, want to kill Jews. If the end goal is to destroy the Jewish homeland and kill all the Jews, what difference does it make whether you are an enemy or an opponent?

No amount or degree of appeasement and funding from the U.S. will convince Hamas and its fellow jihadists to abandon their raison d’etre. Since 1994, U.S. funding to the Palestinians has totaled more than $5 billion dollars “and has been a key part of U.S. policy to encourage an Israeli-Palestinian peace process, improve life for West Bank and Gaza residents, and (since 2007) strengthen the allegedly moderate West Bank-based PA vis-à-vis Hamas in Gaza. U.S. contributions to UNRWA through global humanitarian accounts since 1950 have totaled more than $6 billion.”

Predictably, the Biden administration is pledging billions to rebuild Gaza. Inquiring minds want to know: does this include the miles of tunnels and thousands of missiles that Israel destroyed? And much of the funding will Hamas control?

Viewed from this vantage point, Rep. Mast’s bill is not only timely, but overdue

Rep. Cooper is the June guest for lunch with the rabbi.

We suspect Cooper will have prepared a pat justification for his vote to block sanctioning Hamas and that no one will be permitted to question his explanation. “Progressive” Odessa Kelly has already announced her 2022 primary challenge for Cooper’s seat putting pressure on him to up his own progressive bona fides even if it means refusing to acknowledge the fact that Hamas is a terrorist organization that ought to be condemned by anyone with a functioning moral compass.

Kelly was recruited and is being supported by the Justice Democrats organization which operates out of an address in Knoxville. This is the group which successfully installed and then expanded the anti-Semitic squad in Congress.

Tennessee’s 5th Congressional district voters who are committed to standing with Israel, there are options – Quincy McKnight and Robby Starbuck. While McKnight to date has been silent, Starbuck didn’t hesitate to remind his twitter followers that Hamas is a designated terrorist organization and in a recent podcast, demonstrated a fundamental understanding of the need for the U.S. to assist Israel in remaining safe and secure. Those who care about Israel and its six million Jews should take note of who stands with her when it counts.

*confirmed by the GOP Whip’s office, roll call 146 where the vote was 217-209, is the procedural vote which dealt with Rep. Mast’s bill.

Radical TN Teachers Misleading Parents and Advocating Breaking the Law.

Parents if you don’t pay attention to what your children are learning in public schools, you are the problem.

 It does not matter if you have a D or R on your voter registration card, it matters that your child will be learning to hate others and themselves.

In an article penned By Cathryn Stout of TN Chalkbeat, teachers were asked how they will respond to recent legislation that prohibits teaching the tenets of Critical Race Theory, despite knowing “If the commissioner of education finds that an LEA or public charter school knowingly violates the prohibitions described in (1)-(11), then this amendment requires the commissioner to withhold state funds, in an amount determined by the commissioner, from the LEA or public charter school until the LEA or public charter school provides evidence to the commissioner that the LEA or public charter school is no longer in violation.”

These are a few of those responses by the teachers interviewed.

“It will make it harder for me in the classroom as most of my students face racism and discrimination in this country. Good teachers should be teaching the truth, which is that every system in the U.S. is built on racism and white supremacy.”  — Travis Vaughn, math teacher at LEAD Southeast High School, Nashville

To be frank, the bill will not make it harder for my personal classroom because I plan to ignore it. Who’s going to enforce it? This is a bill that viciously favors white children and ignores the needs of children of color. All the reported reasons I read that were given by the lawmakers were to protect the feelings of white children, with no thought or concern to what is best for society as a whole or for children of color.” — Liz Jarvis, English as a second language teacher, Cornerstone Prep, Memphis

The Republican Party has focused on ‘cancel culture’ quite a bit recently, but this bill is its own form of ‘cancel culture’ that goes entirely too far. History teachers can not adequately teach about the Trail of Tears, the Civil War, and the Civil Rights Movement. English teachers will have to avoid teaching almost any text by an African American author because many of them mention racism to various extents. Even classics written by white authors like ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ and ‘Huckleberry Finn’ will now be off limits.

“Both history and English content standards require students to think critically. Teachers are evaluated based on our ability to inspire critical thinking. How are we supposed to teach the standards and have our students think critically when we can only present and discuss one side of an issue?” — Mike Stein, English and English as a second language teacher at Coffee County High School, Manchester

                                                                                   Mike Stein- Coffee County TN teacher

The blatant disregard by those charged with teaching our children is not only disgraceful but dangerous. Not only is it putting your child’s school in danger of losing funding, but further instills a sense of violating laws is ok to do if you disagree with them.

This no longer is about education, it is about radical, social justice activist teachers spewing their ideology to your child.  It no longer is about the basics, laying a proper foundation for children to excel and move on, it is about  teachers who vomit their personal opinions on students that are young and impressionable.

The very idea some teachers feel it’s their right to degrade, and humiliate white children because the trend says you’re a racist if you don’t, is frightening and alarming.  It is vital parents become involved in their child’s education and demand these politically charged topics be left to the parents to discuss, not teachers.

Statements from teachers like the ones above should be questioned and disciplinary actions should be taken. Not only are they misleading, but would be in violation of state law. Teachers need to held accountable for breaking those laws, as anyone else should be.

The following is what the Tennessee law prohibits, and allows.

The Tennessee General Assembly has passed legislation that prohibits the following:

 (1) One race or sex is inherently superior to another race or sex;

(2) An individual, by virtue of the individual’s race or sex, is inherently privileged, racist, sexist, or oppressive, whether consciously or subconsciously;

(3) An individual should be discriminated against or receive adverse treatment because of the individual’s race or sex;

(4) An individual’s moral character is determined by the individual’s race or sex;

(5) An individual, by virtue of the individual’s race or sex, bears responsibility for actions committed in the past by other members of the same race or sex;

(6) An individual should feel discomfort, guilt, anguish, or another form of psychological distress solely because of the individual’s race or sex;

(7) A meritocracy is inherently racist or sexist, or designed by a particular race or sex to oppress members of another race or sex;

(8) This state or the United States is fundamentally or irredeemably racist or sexist;

(9) Promoting or advocating the violent overthrow of the United States government;

This bill DOES NOT PROHIBIT this:

(1) The history of an ethnic group, as described in textbooks and instructional materials adopted in accordance with present law concerning textbooks and instructional materials;

(2) The impartial discussion of controversial aspects of history;

Parents it is time to take control of what your child learns, and who is teaching them. Children are the future, and can either be productive, good citizens or continue to dismantle and destroy the greatest country on earth. What will you do?

Being a Violent Thug Literally Pays off

When violent, repeat criminals refuse to obey a police officer’s lawful orders, the situation usually goes bad very quickly, with the split decision by that officer to kill or be killed. In today’s backwards society, it seems the norm is  for thugs to be martyred and police officers vilified.

What is even more appalling is the families of those criminals looking to score big payoffs, and city councils awarding them. In the last several weeks, three high profile police shootings have paid handsomely to such families. The largest, history making award went to the family of George Floyd, who’s true cause of death is yet to be completely revealed during the trial of Police officer Derek Chauvin.  While Chauvin may not have actually “murdered” George Floyd, he undoubtedly will face some charges, as he should. Floyd’s family was awarded $27 million, despite his hard criminal rap sheet and the apparent drugs in his system at the time of his death.

Another exaggerated settlement to prove a point despite the officers not being charged with her death, is to the family of Breonna Taylor in Louisville Kentucky. Her family will receive $12 million.

The latest settlement goes to the family of Daniel Hambrick, another thug with a violent, long rap sheet , including robbery. Hambrick had a gun in his possession upon being shot and killed by Metro Nashville Police Officer Andrew Delke.  Hambrick’s family will receive $2 million.

                                                           Hambrick Facebook photos

The officers in the Floyd and Hambrick cases have not yet gone to trial, yet despite city officials stating the settlements are not indicative of wrongdoing, what happens if these officers are found not guilty? Will the “wrongful death” money be returned?  As a society we need to be asking questions as to why these settlements are appropriate and what message do they send ? Hambrick had a loaded gun when he was shot by officer Delke. Would officer Delke’s family have been awarded $2 million dollars had Hambrick shot him? In a statement to the Washington Post on behalf of Hambrick’s family, attorneys Joy Kimbrough and Kyle Mothershead expressed disappointment with the amount, but said they appreciated the city has taken at least “modest accountability” in his death. Disappointed with $2 million. Not disappointed her son was a hardened criminal carrying a gun.  Interesting.

What’s becoming more apparent in these cases, is it no longer is about justice, it’s about money. Case in point, is the shooting of Nika Holbert of Nashville. After being stopped by Metro Nashville Police officer Josh Baker, Holbert refused to comply with his orders, at which point he deployed a taser, which had no affect on Holbert.  The incident escalated with Holbert pulling a gun and shooting Officer Baker. Baker returned fire, killing Holbert.  Holbert also had a rap sheet.

Woman is fatally shot by police officer after she pulled ...
                                                                Nika Holbert

Lisa Holbert-Gooch, Nika Holbert’s mother said she wasn’t surprised her daughter pulled a gun on the officer, stating “He was trying to kill her with that Taser and she was trying to protect herself,”   she further stated “I’m not understanding how this turned into a shooting.”  Really?

Gooch has hired an attorney to review legal options. What options? Her daughter refused to comply to the officers orders and SHOT the officer! This is the mentality of those who see dollar signs rather than mourn the death of their deceased.

Thanks to those leftists who have created an anti-police culture, we now see the reversal of who is good and who is evil. What about the families of fallen police officers? City councils across America are not rushing to pay their families millions of dollars for wrongful deaths. No, instead it is often uttered “they chose to do that job” or “they knew they could die doing that job”.  How about reminding criminals families of the same..  ” they chose to  commit a crime” or ” they knew they could die committing that crime”.

It used to be said crime didn’t pay..that sure isn’t true anymore.

Tullahoma City Alderwoman Rupa Blackwell At It Again!

Once again, a leftist , progressive city level politician aims to transform the city of Tullahoma TN by creating a “diversity” council. Alderwoman Rupa Blackwell, who was endorsed by the Women for Tennessee’s Future, a very liberal organization whose founding member was the disgraced, former mayor of Nashville Megan Barry, among others. According to the donor website “Open Secrets”, the Women for Tennessee’s Future is listed as a “liberal” organization.

Alderwoman Rupa Blackwell

This isn’t about diversity. Diversity is a word used when certain members of various populations want to change their surroundings to fit their beliefs and lifestyles.  This is about the current political climate throughout America, which is anti-everything that America stands for.

In a previous article published on Dailyrollcall.com in July of 2020, we exposed the original agenda which included residents of the city of Tullahoma suggesting ideas which could be the focus of this new “council” which centered on bullying, the lgbtq community, and gender bias. Also discussed were the possible renaming of anything confederate, such as schools and streets.

While everyone believes in fairness and equality for all, this formation of a government entity would allow said governing body (Tullahoma City Council)  to create special classes of people, that would be given special considerations. That is not the role of any body of elected officials.

Despite the push for a socialist agenda, we are still a Republic governed by a Constitution which is for all the people, not those designated by liberals as marginalized.

If the residents of the City of Tullahoma wish to remain in the governing for all business, they will consider voting Rupa Blackwell out in 2022.

In the meantime, Tullahoma and Coffee County residents should attend an open meeting on Weds, Dec 2 at 4pm at the Tullahoma City Hall to say no to government creating special classes of residents!

Nashville’s Gideon’s Army Not What Local News Reporter Says.. Part 1

The public face of Gideon’s Army is one of blacks helping blacks within their community. From mental health issues, to mentoring Nashvilles black youth, to “violence interrupters” walking the city streets trying to enforce peace. Sounds great, and on one level this is a much needed community resource.

However, one only has to look and listen to what members of Gideon’s Army says and does privately and you will see that public persona is a front for radical activism. Doing good for the community is great, using that community to promote an agenda is not.
Recently, in an ad campaign that portrayed Gideon’s Army to be an extreme arm of black power, a local Nashville News reporter, Phil Williams decided to take to the streets with Gideons to see the work they do. What the local reporter did not do was delve into who the members are, and who they connect and partner with.

The first noticeable problem is how they present themselves to the community. Dressing as black militants,and wearing shirts with black raised fits denotes radical activism. Claiming to be role models for the youth of their community while dressed like street soldiers sends a really bad message to young kids. To some it may even be intimidating. If your goal was to truly show black kids how to develop into constructive adults, why not show them how to dress for success?

Another disgusting show of disrespect for their own, is the constant referral to others in the community as “niggas”. Haven’t blacks fought for years to have that word banished as they find it highly offensive? Yet members of the Gideons army use it repeatedly. Don’t tell me it is acceptable within the black community to use that word when people have been fired and arrested for calling a black the “N” word. You can’t have it both ways. In this video clip, Hambino Godbody is discussing the stupidity of N’s killing N’s, and how there is a time and a place for it but not against their own. Watch fast, it is sure to disappear!

Working with children in black communities is of utmost importance to members of Gideon’s army, yet their personal posts on social media ( all public) show a lack of respect for woman, and down right disgusting sexual references.

Then there is a the racism issue. Whites are often excluded or put down as being supremacists if you don’t agree with BLM. Martin Luther King worked for equality and the desegregation of blacks, but now through groups like Gideon’s Army and other radical organizations, they demand their own of everything. Black tv, black radio, black schools, black sports, black unions, and much more.  Gideon’s Army engages with other groups like the Black Nashville Assembly, that call for the “transformation” of Nashville. Unlike their public persona, which claims to be all about children, and peace, they stand with others that want to defund the police and develop “political clarity”.

 This is not the way to go about  changing the black community. Has Gideon’s Army done good for their neighborhood? In part, yes. What they need to learn is you have to practice what you preach.
