Tennessee Soros Funded Groups Win Big if Governor Lee Caves on Refugee Resettlement

It’s no secret that the ACLU, TIRRC and the TN American Muslim Advisory Council (AMAC) have put Soros money into their bank accounts. After all, their political agendas – short and long term – are 100% aligned with Soros’ agenda for our country, especially the South.

Changing the demographics, particularly in Southern towns and cities, facilitates the bigger political agenda of these groups and George Soros.

Less conspicuous, is the support provided by organizations like the Nashville Chamber of Commerce. In 2001, they greedily took money from the U.S. Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) which was looking for new places to deliver refugees by “Building the New American Community” (BNAC).

One of the core principles of the BNAC project was for the new Americans to form coalitions, become voters and take leadership roles in their receiving communities. Let the transformation begin!

And that’s precisely what has happened with the help of groups like the ACLU and TIRRC (TN Immigrant & Refugee Rights Coalition) which helped spin off the AMAC.

These groups have led “the resistance” in Tennessee – opposition to every immigration related policy initiated by the Trump administration and every immigration related policy at the state level including the anti-sanctuary city law.

Even though these groups didn’t stop the sanctuary city bill from becoming law despite Haslam not signing it, they may very well win the fight on refugee resettlement with the help of leftist mayors, local chambers of commerce, county commissions, city councils, and Governor Lee.

Here’s what the left knows and understands – elected leaders on the right can’t take the heat that comes with saying no. The left knows that leaders on the right will use any justification they can think of – alleged economic benefits, reviving stagnant towns, need for labor, or a duty to “welcome the stranger.”

The left knows something else that Governor Lee may or may not know – consent is only required for refugee resettlement from June 2020 through the end of September 2020, which is the end of the federal fiscal year.  

From now until June, the 18,000 refugees coming to your towns and cities, are being restteled the same way they were under the 2019 guidance – NO CONSENT NEEDED!!!!

Add to this, that the Executive Order which set up an imperfect process for consent is currently being litigated by the federal contractors.

The left has made state and local consent about refugee resettlement a referendum on all of Trump’s immigration policies. They have broad-brushed the refugee agenda in a way to enable compassionate Christians to rationalize ignoring the political and demographic implications which in the end, will feed the anti-Christian agenda of the radical social justice left.

Don’t fall for it. The refugee resettlement industry has nothing to do with welcoming the stranger and these so-called religion-identified NGOs are unwilling to serve refugee interests unless your federal and state governments pay them to do it!

If you need further proof, consider that the Nashville International Center for Empowerment (NICE) is a federal refugee resettlement contractor which was started and continues to be led by Gatluak Thach, himself a former Sudanese refugee whose bio suggests that he is a Christian. He already made his pitch for consent to the legislators, like one Christian to another. However, he aligns with the radical left, serving on TIRRC’s board alongside the former co-chairs of AMAC. By his organization’s own description, NICE resettles people of all religions and ethnicities including refugees from Somali, Iraq and Iran.

There’s a tendency to think that Sudanese refugees to the US are mostly Christian. Not so. From FY2011 to current, almost 85% of the Sudanese refugees brought to the US identified as Muslim.

As to all the misinformation about states being able to pick and choose which ethnic or religiously-identified refugees they prefer for resettlement it’s simple – they can’t. The FY2020 terms of consent specifically state:

The consent may not be conditioned on acceptance of certain refugees or on any other factor, such as refugees’ race, ethnicity, religion, or national origin.

For example, from FY2015 – FY2019, 812 refugees from the Democratic Republic of Congo have been brought to Tennessee. The on-going internal conflicts in the DRC are tribal, not religious. Refugee Resettlement Watch, reminds us that in 2013, the Obama administration promised the UN that the US would take 50,000 DRC refugees. “from fiscal year 2014 to today we have admitted 58,999 and there is no sign of the migration stopping” even though Jesuit Refugee Service reported this October, that “hundreds of Congolese refugees are voluntarily returning home.”

At the same time that DRC refugees were being brought to Tennessee, from FY2015 – FY2019, over 2,000 refugees from countries like Somalia, Burma, Syria and Iraq (over 80% identify as Muslim), also arrived.

Since October 2017, the beginning of Trump’s first full year setting priorities for refugee resettlement, through right now, 680 Syrians were brought to the US, of which, 601 identify as Muslims. This might be a good question to pose to Sen. Blackburn who is co-sponsoring S.2641, one goal of which is to increase the resettlement of Syrians.

Since President Trump set the annual cap for FY2020 admissions at 18,000, a total of 2,066 refugees have arrived with 33 resettled in Tennessee.

The SIV (Special Immigrant Visas) for Afghanis and Iraqis who supposedly helped US troops and who get to pick where they want to live, can arrive with refugee status, so far in FY2020, have numbered 2,857. Since FY2007, the US has admitted a total of 62,192.

Refugee Council USA, the lobbying arm of the refugee industry, has had its followers hounding governors, state legislators, mayors and county executives, with all kinds of refugee stories, mythical scenarios of how refugees revive dying communities and bring nothing but economic prosperity.

They also assure these state officials that the federal government 100% funds the program.

Completely not true. In fact, not even close. And that’s why Tennessee sued. After all, numerous federal reports have admitted to shifting the federal costs of the program to states and local governments.

But if Governor Lee caves and decides to consent to resettling refugees, the lawsuit goes away, Tennessee taxpayers pay the state and the federal costs of the program and the radical left resistance in Tennessee walks away with a big, giant political win.

The New York Times story from Monday mentioned that 16 governors, 6 of whom are identified as Republicans, have submitted letters consenting to continued refugee resettlement in their states. The State Department is supposed to post all consent letters on its website but that hasn’t happened yet. The only website keeping track is Refugee Resettlement Watch and by Ann’s count, only 9 governors have issued consent, 4 of whom are Republicans – Arizona, Utah, New Hampshire and North Dakota.

Is it possible that Bill Lee has submitted a letter of consent but didn’t bother to tell us? Have you taken the time to contact his office, your state legislators, your mayor, your city council or commission members? If not, why not??????

Sen. Marsha Blackburn Sponsors Bill to Import Unlimited Number of Syrian & Iraqi Refugees to Tennessee

Blackburn’s bill mandates a fast track for Syrians, Iraqis and Kurds who claim they were in some way connected, however loosely or remotely, to America’s fight against ISIS. The bill’s language in this regard is very broadly written.

No cap is put on the numbers to be admitted as refugees, nor does this priority group of refugees count towards President Trump’s FY2020 cap of 18,000 refugees. Vetting for this particular pool of potential U.S. entrants, is vague at best.

After the 2105 jihad in Paris when a Syrian passport carried by one of the jihadis was discovered, some politicians, including Blackburn expressed concern about importing Syrians. At the time, it was discovered that there was a robust black market for fake Syrian passports. And who can forget that two months before the Paris jihad Obama promised to import at least 10,000 Syrian refugees.

It seems Marsha has a very short memory. She, five other Republicans and twelve of the most radical Senate Democrats are co-sponsoring S.2641 which is scheduled to be heard on Wednesday, December 11, 2019, in the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

The reality on the ground in Tennessee as opposed to the D.C. bubble, is that Iraqi Kurds established a foothold in Nashville, compliments of federal contractor Catholic Charities. With the influx provided by secondary migration, Nashville now has the largest Sunni Muslim Kurdish community in the U.S. By their own count, they put their numbers at approximately 15,000.

The Kurds in Nashville say “they’re angry” about the President’s decision to withdraw U.S. troops from Northern Syria and that Trump “betrayed” them.

Well you know what gets us angry Marsha and why we feel betrayed? The fact that Kurdish refugees led the fight against an important material support anti-terrorism bill in our state legislature. And that it was a Kurdish refugee who that same year, was the first to get the HAMAS front group CAIR involved in Tennessee state politics.

And it was Kurdish refugees who led organizing the Tennessee American Muslim Advisory Council (AMAC) and then decided to collaborate with some of the country’s most vocal Jew-hating anti-Semites like Linda Sarsour while at the same time, tolerating the overt Jew-hatred of its Kurdish refugee board member Drost Kokoye.

She and her family were first delivered to Arizona and then re-migranted to Tennessee. Growing up in Tennessee seems to have made Drost hate our country and align herself with the most radical anti-American leftists. She protests against police, pushes her Jew-hatred, and helped start AMAC, only recently leaving her spot on its governing board. And by the way, she hates our country.

How convenient also that Sen. Blackburn chooses to overlook the other “gift” the Kurds imported to Tennessee – their Kurdish Pride Gang.

We’d like to see Marsha’s plan for how members of the Kurd’s own Antifa group will be prevented from entering the U.S..

Still more troubling is the part of Marsha’s bill which specifically permits someone to come to the U.S, even if they were in any way connected to the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). The problem with this is that two years ago, the U.S. led coalition spokesman Col. John Dorrian let slip that the PKK (the Kurdistan Workers’ Party) terrorist group is part of the SDF.

It just so happens that the PKK is also a U.S. designated terrorist group.

After the Paris jihad, Marsha was quick to say no to importing Syrians to the U.S. and mentioned the problem with vetting and falsified documents:

The security of American citizens must be our top priority. We now have reports that one, and possibly more, of the Paris attackers posed as Syrian refugees before entering Europe. As a result, we must immediately suspend similar resettlement efforts in the U.S. I have repeatedly warned that it is impossible to vet Syrian refugees to determine if they have ties to ISIS. Any efforts to continue moving forward with the resettlement of Syrian refugees in the U.S. would be dangerously irresponsible.

She even co-sponsored a bill to temporarily halt the entire refugee resettlement program and from the House floor commended Tennessee legislators for suing to challenge the federal resettlement program:

Leaving all of this behind in the House, the now Senator Blackburn, is co-sponsoring a bill which pushes refugee resettlement. Does this mean that Marsha wants Governor Lee to consent to refugee resettlement for the state? Does Marsha realize that if the Governor says yes, our lawsuit challenging the federal program goes away? The same lawsuit that she claimed to support in her statement on the House floor?

And what about those measly little security type issues? Did Marsha leave those concerns behind when she graduated from the House? Is she aware of the vetting and other problems we’ve had with Iraqis already admitted to the U.S.?

And by the way Marsha, we’re simply sick and tired of paying to open our doors and pay to bring people into our country who denigrate us and work to undermine our freedoms.

Tell Greedy Refugee Contractors to Keep Their Hands Off Your Community!

But you’ll need the help of your mayor and your city council and/or commission.

President Trump’s Executive Order is giving power back to Tennessee citizens to decide whether they want federal refugee contractors to “transform” their communities with imported refugees.

Here are the rules of this game:

  • both the Governor and the “locality” for refugee placement, have to say “yes” we want refugees. This means they also agree to pay any and all short and long-term costs imposed by the federal program.
  • however, if either the Governor or the “locality” say no thanks, then supposedly, newly arriving refugees from overseas won’t be placed in that “locality.”
  • however, the Governor may consent to resettling refugees in only certain consenting localities within the state. This option is a total fiction and is as good as agreeing to put almost ALL cities and counties in Tennessee up for grabs for resettlement – even if they’ve never been an initial resettlement site.

FEDERAL RESETTLEMENT CONTRACTORS ARE ALLOWED TO PLACE REFUGEES ANYWHERE FROM 50 TO 100 MILES FROM THE REFUGEE CONTRACTOR’S OFFICE.

This is just one of the many dirty little secrets that the federal contractors keep to themselves.

 And it’s been going on in Tennessee for years. Here’s the proof – the State Department’s reports show that over the years refugees have been resettled in Clarksville, LaVergne, Smyrna, Murfreesboro, Mt. Juliet, Franklin, Spring Hill, Shelbyville, Gallatin, Johnson City, just to name a few.

A few years ago, Catholic Charities of TN employee and federal contractor Holly Johnson who became the state refugee coordinator after the State of Tennessee withdrew from the voluntary refugee program, insisted during testimony to a legislative committee, that refugees were never directly resettled in Bedford County.

Well oops!!! A report subsequently issued by TIRRC about the victimization of Muslims in Tennessee, disclosed that in fact, at least 13 refugees had been directly resettled in Bedford County during the time period Johnson was asked about.

And just in case anyone (ie, Governor Lee) thinks you can pick and choose which refugees you get like maybe all Middle Eastern Christians, Refugee Resettlement Watch and Voice of America clear this up – no you can’t:

Again, by agreeing to ‘welcome’ refugees, your governor is saying your state will take any number from anywhere in the world!

Despite the consent requirement, state and local governments will not be able to choose which refugees it wants to accept, or to exclude certain groups.

Even the rules say you can’t pick and choose.

And just in case you’re thinking that the refugee resettlement industry has anything to do with religious prescriptions about welcoming the stranger – think again – it is first and foremost about money and cheap labor.

It wasn’t that long ago that Catholic Charities’ Holly Johnson, state refugee coordinator and federal contractor, wouldn’t even help the newly arrived refugees that had literally been dumped in Rutherford County by another refugee contractor who got their money, closed their office and left the refugees with nothing.

The State Department guidance says local consent or non-consent for bringing in refugees, has to be in writing from the “chief executive officer of the local government.

Open border leftist groups and the federal refugee contractors have been working at this for weeks. Some say December 25 is the deadline, others say January 21 and others suggest that the deadline can extend to June 1, 2020 when the new grant money comes into play.

But since the left has made this a referendum on Trump’s immigration policies, the sooner you get your local government’s support for Trump out there, the better.

Hopefully, Governor Lee will get the message about what voters in Tennessee want – the same voters who put him into office.

Knoxville’s city council passed a unanimous resolution to keep refugees coming and directed their leftist mayor to put the city’s consent in writing. There should be little doubt that Nashville, Memphis and Chattanooga’s city councils and mayors will do the same in the coming weeks.

And it’s still critical to contact the Governor’s office and remind him that the federal government has admitted to transferring the costs of the refugee program to the states – the very reason Tennessee has a lawsuit challenging the program. If the Governor consents to refugee resettlement even for just the four counties where the contractor offices are located, the state’s lawsuit goes away and he puts almost every single town, city and county in the state up for grabs.

So what exactly Governor Lee’s office mean when they said that “[w]e will continue working with the federal government to determine the best outcome for Tennessee.” And who is he listening to??

Update on the Jesus Exhibition, the Sponsoring Organization & ICT’s new Imam

See how cowed the press is? So afraid of offending Islamists that they don’t even bother to tell you about what should be real concerns about the iERA organization which is the creator and sponsor of the traveling Jesus Exhibition.

Actually, the press, especially in Nashville, has forever been nothing more than an apologist propaganda machine for Islamists.

ICT’s imam, Anwar Arafat works with the UK-based iERA to fight Islamophobia. He is the imam promoting the iERA and its work, first in Memphis and now in Nashville.

And as expected, neither Arafat, leaders of the ICT or the Islamist apologist Tennessean paper have disclosed any of the controversy surrounding iERA due to actions and statements made by the organization and some of its representatives.

Among other things, iERA has been banned from University College London due to having attempted to establish gender segregated seating during iERA events. The Daily Telegraph wrote that the iERA was being investigated by the Charity Commission: “amid allegations that its leaders promote anti-Semitism and have called for homosexuals and female adulterers to be stoned to death”.

The Council of Ex-Muslims of Britain issued a fairly extensive report about iERA titled, “Evangelising Hate: Islamic Education and Research Academy (iERA).”

Bilal Philips is discussed extensively in the report and noted as having an advisory relationship with iERA. Philips is a Canadian Muslim teacher, speaker, and author who currently lives in Qatar, having “converted to Islam in the early seventies after journeying politically and intellectually from Christianity to Communism.”

He disputes many of the claims made about him in the report including being denied entry into certain countries. In 2014, it was reported in connection with his deportation from the Philippines, that he “has been barred from entering Australia, the United Kingdom, the United States, Kenya and as of June, Bangladesh. Germany expelled Philips in 2011 after officials there claimed he advocated killing homosexuals. His books, some of which have been banned in countries such as the Czech Republic, advocate against Western dress and music.”  

This just goes to show how much more tolerant we are in Tennessee because absolutely nothing happened to Awadh Binhazim who during his tenure as the volunteer Muslim chaplain at Vanderbilt, told a student gathering that Islamic law mandates capital punishment for homosexuality. When he was asked whether he accepted or rejected the Islamic punishment for homosexuality, Binhazim also confirmed, that “as a Muslim he does not have a choice of whether to accept or reject what Islam teaches.”

Binhazim was first very involved with the Islamic Center of Nashville, serving on its shura board (a consultative body which implements Sharia law), but moved on to co-found the ICT to help ring the city with mosques. Binhazim is aggressive in Islamic dawa (prosletizing), promoting Shariah as an immutable and politically dominant way of life, and freely associates with Muslim Brotherhood organizations.

And dawa – getting the poorly informed interested in considering becoming a Muslim, is what the iERA exhibit is really about. The typical and quite frankly, worn-out and unsubstantiated claim of Islamophobia is used as the justification for the amped up dawa in Middle Tennessee.

And no space is spared – how about the Southern Festival of Books???? Free Korans and as much dawa as you want to go with it compliments of the ICT.

Before taking up his position with the ICT, Imam Anwar Arafat was the imam at the sizable mosque Masjid Ar-Rohman in Memphis. Before that, he was an imam in Utah. His bio says he “has studied in Gaza, Palestine, Kuwait, and the United States.”

Arafat actually spent his teen years in Gaza where he attended Al Karmel high school which maintains an “interesting” facebook page with lots of “interesting” pictures like these:

Of course, having your picture taken with the Yasser Arafat, leader of the terrorist Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) and referred to in some circles as the “father of modern terrorism,” must have been thrilling for the young Anwar who posted this picture of the two of them:

The Gaza strip where young Anwar received a complete education, is controlled by HAMAS, a U.S. designated terrorist organization – just where you send a kid from Utah.

The all grown-up Arafat is the typical Islamist activist. For example, like many of the community Islamist agitators we have in Tennessee, he served as president the MSA at the University of Utah. He was also a cofounder of the Muslim Community Center of Utah.

In 2015, he hosted a Memphis AMAC (American Muslim Advisory Council) fundraiser with Samar Ali and Paul Galloway (a former CAIR leader working for AMAC in Tennessee).

In May 2019, Arafat was the guest speaker at former Mayor David Briley’s Muslim Community Recognition Day to pitch elevating work with AMAC as a way to address the scourge of Islamophobia. The following week Arafat started as the new imam at the ICT.

ICT makes “interesting” picks for their imams, several of which have trended toward the Jew-hating type.

In 2017, ICT’s imam AhmedulHadi Sharif was preaching about the “enemies of Allah” as he referred to Jews in Israel.

It will be interesting to hear what Arafat adds to the ICT fabric given his own indoctrination during his time in anti-Jew strongholds.

Islamic Center of Tennessee – We Muslims Love Jesus (But It’s Okay to Denigrate and When Necessary, Persecute Christians)

As part of its aggressive dawa (proselytizing of Islam) The Islamic Center of Tennessee (ICT) is ever so proudly hosting the traveling “Jesus Exhibition, which details what the Quran says about his life and his mother, Mary. The event is noon to 6 p.m. Nov. 9.”

The exhibit is a product of the UK-based iERA (Islamic Education and Research Academy). The interactive online exhibition campaign files can be accessed here.

The iERA does not hide the fact that this exhibit is intended to bring people to Islam – “[t]his global exhibition has now been seen in Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Cyprus, Germany, Honduras, Ireland, Malaysia, Malawi, Mexico, the UK and the USA, with many people embracing Islam as a result!”

Lucky kafirs and infidels in Memphis already had the exhibit in their city when the ICT imam was working there. Now the Nashville area kafirs and infidels can see it too!

In true interfaith propagandist style, The Tennesseean reports that “[t]he hope is people who have questions about Islam will have a chance to go straight to the source for answers, Anwar Arafat, the center’s imam and religious director, said. And the Jesus Exhibition helps narrow down such a big topic to one that Muslims have in common with people outside their religious tradition.” 

Does the Jesus exhibit include that the Quran says we are all supposedly Muslims which is why Islamists refer to converts as “reverts”?

How about this little Quaranic gem – According to the Quran, “Esa,” is Jesus’ real name because Jesus was a Muslim, he was not crucified and did not die on the cross but instead, ascended to Allah and anyone claiming otherwise is a liar, so when Jesus returns, he will “be a witness against Jews and Christians for believing in his death.” (4:157-159)

Lovely.

How does the traveling exhibit and Imam Arafat explain the hadith (traditions and sayings of Muhammad) which say that when Jesus comes back, he goes on a pilgrimage to Mecca, he breaks the cross, kills the pig, does away with the “jizyah” (tax on Jews and Christians) and helps destroy Christianity once and for all?

“He will break the cross, kill swine, and abolish jizyah. Allah will perish all religions except Islam.” Sunan Abu Dawud, Book 37, Number 4310.

Islamists in Tennessee have been peddling the “we love Jesus too” approach for years in Tennessee to lure the gullible Christian and Jewish kafirs – the same ones they pray against five times a day in the Al-Fatihah:

“In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful,

            All praise and thanks be to Allah, the Lord of all that exists,

            the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful,

            the Owner of the Day of Recompense.

            You we worship, and You we ask for help.

            Guide us to the straight path,

            The way of those upon whom You have bestowed Your Grace, not (that) of those who

            earned your anger nor of those who went astray.”

(Jews “earned your anger” and Christians are “those who went astray”).

A few years back the MSA (Muslim Students Association) at East Tennessee State University put on a program called “Jesus in Islam”:

“We did a couple of lectures on campus last year,” Nimer [MSA President], said. “One was ‘Jesus in Islam.’ We talked about the misconceptions people have because a lot of people think we don’t believe in Jesus. We do, we love him, we respect him and we follow his teachings.”

In 1999 Awadh Binhazim, former Austin CAIR chapter leader, former board member at the Islamic Center of Nashville (ICN), and a founder of the ICT, proselytized Islam in Nashville through his Olive Tree Education project. Among Islamists operating in Tennessee, he was one of the least deceptive.

Binhazim lectured Islam’s supremacist belief regarding what Muslims believe about the Gospel:

“When Muslims say they believe in the Ingil, the Gospel and they believe in the Torah, and they believe in the Psalms, they qualify. They believe that there has been a change in the text of the Torah and the Gospel. Therefore, originality was lost…Authenticity was lost. And Muslims regard this to be a deliberate change by corrupt priests of the time. They distorted the word of God and eliminated the original Hebrew and Aramaic versions of their scriptures.”

Binhazim’s running buddy, former imam of the ICN, Abdulhakim Mohammed was also the Education Director for Binhazim’s Olive Tree Education. This imam had no regard for Christians or Christianity – “Christians have lost much of their basics and tenets of faith.  The truth of Christianity was lost at its earliest stages. …Tomorrow they’ll celebrate Christmas assuming that Christ is a god or son of god.  There is no greater lie than this.  The greatest lie of all time.”

The former imam of Binhazim’s ICT, Imam Abdullah Al Ansari said, “He [Allah] told us to fight the Jews and Christians. Fight them until they give jizya. They give this protective tax from their hands and they are humiliated and subdued.  If Islam, true Islam and true Muslims do not rule there will never be justice.  Don’t think that Barak Obama can give you justice.  No one can give you justice except a just Muslim ruler”.

Raymond Ibrahim 2018 report documents that “215,000,000 Christians Persecuted, Mostly by Muslims.”

In Tennessee, apologists for Islam, progressive leftists, and interfaith lapdogs, have become the most useful tools of Islamists.

“NICE” If You Can Get the Government to Fund Your “Charitable” Work

NICE is the Nashville International Center for Empowerment federal refugee resettlement contractor located in Nashville.

The federal contractor met with Lt. Gov. Randy McNally shortly after the President issued his Executive Order on refugee resettlement. NICE is trying to convince Tennessee state leadership to reverse course, say yes to the business of resettling refugees in Tennessee and help federal contractors like NICE heal their sagging budgets.

 

NICE probably has a much better understanding of the willingness of the Lee administration and weak-kneed Republicans who are willing to sell out trusting Republican voters in the face of $$$$$. Governor Lee recently said he hasn’t made up his mind about whether to consent to resettling refugees in Tennessee.

That’s money and economic development like the kind Tyson Foods with sales in 2018, of $40 billion dollars and which is building its 5th plant in Tennessee. That’s the same company that helped make Shelbyville an employment magnet for Somali refugees.

That’s the same Tyson Foods that’s building the new big shiny chicken processing plant in Gibson County, the kind of rural West Tennessee area which gubernatorial candidate Lee said he was committed to for economic development.

Tennessee state Senator John Stevens whose district includes Gibson County just also happens to be a named plaintiff in the state’s Tenth Amendment lawsuit against the federal refugee resettlement program. Bet he’s getting some pressure.

But don’t fall for the idea that the Trump EO on refugee resettlement makes the lawsuit unnecessary, because it won’t stop refugees from being resettled in Tennessee.

Remember, the lawsuit is not about refugees. It’s about the federal government forcing Tennessee to spend state revenue for the resettlement program even though the state withdrew from the program over 10 years ago. The lawsuit is about state sovereignty and the Tenth Amendment – it’s about any federal program that the federal government decides it will have states subsidize even if they don’t want to and even if they don’t receive any federal money or benefit in return.

Federal refugee resettlement contractors like NICE get most of their money from the federal government. Resettlement contractors like NICE are paid for each individual refugee they bring to a community. With the Trump administration consistently lowering the number for annual refugee admissions, local resettlement offices have been closing.

In Tennessee, World Relief closed its Nashville office after taking the money but not before it dumped refugees in Murfreesboro without providing the services.

No doubt NICE is doing whatever it can to avoid the same fate. 

NICE, started by a former refugee, was founded in 2005 as an ethnic assistance organization originally named the Sudanese Community and Women’s Service Center. NICE matured into a full-fledged refugee resettlement contractor in 2011, and it’s financial profile changed pretty dramatically with the infusion of federal cash:

No doubt NICE has pitched the usual leftist propaganda about the economic benefits of cheap refugee labor to Lt. Gov. McNally. Republicans have always understood that helping their big corporate cronies like Tyson get out of the quagmire of cheap illegal alien labor is answered by the cheap legal labor pool of refugees.

Even if it means pushing the cost onto everyday Tennesseans. Oh yeah, and then there’s the displacement of disabled and sick Tennesseans who still are waiting for TennCare help, but which refugees who meet eligibility can get as soon as they arrive.

And then there’s Bill Hagerty…..

Shortly after Haslam appointed Bill Hagerty to be the Commissioner of Economic & Community Development (ECD), Hagerty made Lamar’s son, Will Alexander ECD’s Chief of Staff.

During Will’s tenure with ECD, he served on NICE’s board as Treasurer as a representative of TN ECD while at the same time, NICE’s President & CEO, Gatluak Thach was on the Board of TIRRC alongside the co-chairs of Governor Haslam’s Muslim Advisory Council.

Cozy.

In 2016, ECD had Wolfgang Roeder, an ECD business consultant, serve on the NICE board. Wolfgang’s job was to “help with any expansion projects, access to ECD grants and to Tax credits. 

Perhaps Lt. Gov. McNally and Governor Lee need to hear from the everyday Tennessean who isn’t getting propped up by the federal government money?

One other thing – you might want to tell these Republican leaders that these groups they seem to anxious to accommodate didn’t put them into office – Tennessee Republican voters did and it’s been documented over the years that immigrants tend to vote Democratand no amount of Republican appeasement is going to change that.

These Republican leaders need to understand that continuing to sell out Tennessee conservatives based on perceived economic gain, might serve their political ambitions, but in the long-run, will lead to our demise

Hagerty’s Political Resume – Anti-Trumpers and Pelosi-Republicans

President Trump has made some good picks and some mis-picks. Hagerty for U.S. Senate is one of the bigger mis-picks.

First and most importantly, (and no disrespect to the President), Tennessee voters will decide whether another elitist globican like Lamar fills that seat.

Second, realize how heavily Hagerty is leaning on Trump’s endorsement hoping that this will distract voters from realizing what kind of elitist globican he really is.

(Globicans are those on the right who cavalierly trade American citizens like widgets for perceived economic outcomes – and/or their own political ambitions).

Third, it really does matter, when you don’t have a voting record, who is on your political resume. On this side of the ledger, Hagerty is in BIG trouble.

Illegal alien amnesty supporter Mitch McConnell hasendorsed Hagerty.

During his 35 years in the Senate, McConnell has learned how to manipulate to his desired outcome, the political high waters of obstruction. And given that McConnell at best only tolerates Trump, he has not hesitated to obstruct the President on a key issue – illegal immigration. Remember, McConnell is no supporter of Trump.

On the President’s emergency at the border declaration – McConnell, a tool of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and big globican interests, rushed to announce that the Senate would block it. Then he, “unleashed twelve members of his Decepticon caucus to rebuke the border security efforts of President Donald Trump.”

Whenever it concerns illegal aliens, the “Deception caucus” always includes Lamar Alexander and Mitt Romney, both of whom recently voted against the President – again – to overturn his resolution on the national emergency at the border. Hagerty’s other immigration buddy whom he supported for president, Marco Rubio didn’t show up for this first round of voting.

Trump vetoed the House-Senate resolution; Romney hung in there and voted to overturn Trump’s veto, out-going Lamar didn’t bother to show up this time around but Rubio did and voted to overturn Trump’s veto.

On the recent House-passed resolution condemning the President for withdrawing troops from Syria, McConnell said he wanted “an even stronger” resolution against the President than the one passed in the House. Led by Sen. Rand Paul, Republicans in the Senate defied McConnell’s efforts to undermine Trump.

Predictably, Romney used the Syria withdrawal to again “lambaste” the President in a speech from the Senate floor. And of course Romney is abusing his Senate seat to push Trump impeachment efforts.

Hagerty is now trying to camouflage his real political DNA and past political opportunistic boot-strapping.

Hagerty’s delicate chastising of Romney’s support for Trump impeachment efforts shows how desperate Hagerty really is to try and separate himself from the most vocal pre and post-election anti-Trumper.

What Hagerty can’t erase what his devotion to Romney, when he left Tennessee ECD to serve as Romney’s national finance guy, a move he probably though could get he a spot in a Romney administration.

When that didn’t work out, Hagerty put his support behind Jeb! for president in 2016. When he chose Jeb! over Trump, Hagerty said:

“Jeb has a plan to flatten and simplify the tax code, which will create millions of new jobs,” Hagerty said in the release. “He will unleash American innovation through his regulatory reform agenda. He has the right ideas on embracing an American energy revolution which will benefit every American family and business. We need a president with a proven record of implementing conservative reforms, and Jeb Bush is that candidate.”

And after Jeb! withdrew, Hagerty flipped to Marco Rubio who just happened to show up at state Sen. Jack Johnson’s August event where Hagerty was featured. Hmmm.

Trump was Hagerty’s last choice because he won the primary with no thanks to the likes of Hagerty.

All of Hagerty’s picks before Trump, were known at the time and continue to be, supporters of amnesty for illegal aliens.

If you consider who the extremely wealthy money globicans are in Tennessee, then you realize that none of Hagerty’s moves have been coincidental.

How come no one in the media has asked Hagerty what he thinks about Romney’s incessant attacks and efforts to undermine the President?

Hagerty hasn’t and won’t disavow Romney. Hagerty’s gentle criticism of Romney for not opposing impeachment moves came two weeks after Senate candidate Manny Sethi had denounced Democrat impeachment efforts.

Sethi has been straightforward and clear that he won’t fall in line with the establishment. Hagerty, however, already has political IOUs and he is LOCKED INTO the McConnell globican machine.

Just wait until Tennessee globicans who went all out for East Tennessean’s Haslam and Randy Boyd (Hagerty’s successor at ECD hand-picked by Haslam) get started. The Senate primary election is setting up just like the gubernatorial primary that Boyd lost. The FACTS about Hagerty, simply don’t square up for Tennessee conservatives. Fortunately, there’s a better option.

Bill Hagerty, Samar Ali & Her Husband

Did Hagerty know Samar’s husband before or after he hired her and if so, what did Hagerty know or not know about him and his sharia finance experience?

We already know that globican Hagerty (an elitist who acts like he is entitled to Lamar’s U.S. Senate seat), knows Samar Ali and her father.

Shortly after Hagerty as Commissioner of TNECD hired Samar in 2012, it was reported by a long-time Republican blogger, that Hagerty told a First Tuesday gathering that “I got a call from her father asking me if I would look at her resume.”

Samar, however, claims that she met Hagerty through the White House fellows program, not through her father. While Hagerty and Ali were not White House fellows at the same time, Hagerty was a member and chair of the regional selection panel for the President’s Commission on White House Fellowships from 1997 – 2009, spanning the Clinton, Bush and Obama administrations.

Samar served as a White House fellow from 2010 – 2011. Applications for the fellowships are accepted several months before the start of the following calendar year, so it’s certainly possible that Samar met Hagerty through the application process even if it was her father that put her resume in front of Hagerty.

By the time Hagerty hired Samar, she had married Amr El-Husseini on September 3, 2011.

Samar and El-Husseini share sharia compliant finance expertise. Samar was hired by Hagerty as the Assistant Commissioner for International Affairs.

The Haslam administration went to great lengths to conceal Samar’s sharia finance credentials from information released to the public even though her sharia finance credentials were plastered on websites of law firms she has worked for and included in her bios attached to different talks she has given.

At the time Samar was hired by Hagerty, other states like Illinois were looking at “growth opportunities” related to the Gulf states, so it stands to reason that Hagerty may have had similar ideas in mind. At the time Hagerty hired Samar, she and her husband El-Husseini, each brought deep contacts in Qatar and the UAE, or at least were connected to the financial centers.

Who is Amr El-Husseini?

 In 2014, El-Husseini launched the Nashville-based Lodestone Advisory Group and serves as the Chief Executive Officer overseeing the company’s global operations. Samar serves as a director of the organization.

At the same time that El-Husseini was getting Lodestone off the ground, he started a two-year term as a “Board Member for an international banking subsidiary of the QIB Group.”

QIB stands for the Qatar Islamic Bank which is the largest sharia compliant lender in Qatar. A sharia supervisory board oversees the bank’s financial operations to ensure it is compliant with sharia law.

El-Husseini worked for QIB for over six years from 2008 to 2014, starting as an investment manager and eventually moving up to Senior Executive Manager & Head of International Development.

For at least three years of El-Husseini’s time at QIB, the long-standing spiritual leader of the Muslim Brotherhood, Youssef al-Qaradawi served as the chairman of the sharia supervisory board. Qaradawi has described sharia compliant finance as “jihad with money.”

Qaradawi, “has held leadership positions in at least two groups that have been internationally sanctioned for their support of terrorist organizations.”

Sharia Finance Watch adds this: “[i]n 2001, Sheikh Qaradawi was the chairman of the Shariah Advisory Board of Bank al-Taqwa, which was shut down by the United Nations and the US Treasury Department for funneling large amounts of money to several Jihadist terrorist organizations, including Ayman al-Zawahiri’s Egyptian forerunner of Al Qaeda. Much of the money came through a Shariah-Compliant real estate firm in New Jersey and the money was funneled to the terrorist groups as zakat payments to charities. Last year, [2009], the US Treasury Department designated the Union of Good, an umbrella group of 57 charities run out of Saudi Arabia, as a terrorist entity. Qaradawi runs the Union of Good.”

Qaradawi is banned from entering the US and the UK because of his ties to terrorist organizations. Among his many fatwas he has condoned HAMAS suicide attacks and using women for suicide bombings against Israeli civilians. Qaradawi says that the “martyr operation” of blowing oneself up is, “the greatest of all sorts of jihad in the cause of Allah.”

Ironically, Qaradawi has predicted that Islam would, “conquer Europe [and] America – not through sword but through Da’wa [proselytizing for Islam].”

The QIB has also been identified by the US State Department as a funder of terrorism. In early 2018, the UAE, Bahrain and Egypt, led by Saudi Arabia, “accuse[d] Qatar of financing extremist groups, including the Muslim Brotherhood” and cut off diplomatic and trade relations with Qatar. Going further, the UAE directed their financial institutions to freeze bank accounts and investments connected to banks and individuals in Qatar.

During his time at QIB, the good son-in-law-to-be, El-Husseini organized a fundraiser in Qatar for the Jerusalem Fund – the Jew and Israel hating D.C.-based organization led by Samar’s father Subhi Ali. El-Husseini and Ali could not have picked a more fitting locale since Qatar does not recognize the State of Israel and bans Israelis from entering the country.

Hagerty and co-White House fellow clubber Steve Gill, have defended against any legitimate questions being raised about Samar who more recently, helped get elected to Metro Council, the former AMAC chair who admires Jew-haters Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar.

Is Hagerty looking more like a a pro-Islamist globalican as opposed to the picture he is trying to paint of himself growing up shoveling asphalt, baling hay, and raising pigs? Gee, aw shucks Bill, you left those “Tennessee roots” a long time ago to run with the elite money-handlers.

Hagerty’s Political Running Buddies – Pushers of Amnesty for Illegal Aliens

Mitch, Mittens Romney and Little Marco – oh my!

The more layers you peel back, the more unbelievable it gets that Bill Hagerty really believes that Tennessee voters aren’t going to notice that his political running buddies are open borders amnesty-granting globican elitists.

Mitch McConnell green-lighted the 2013 “Gang of Eight” (G8) comprehensive immigration reform bill even though Senate conservatives asked to block the bill from reaching the Senate floor.

The G8 bill (S.744) was heralded as the answer to all our immigration problems, especially because it had bipartisan support – four D’s and four R’s. The bill passed in the Senate 68-32, with 14 Republicans joining all Democrats. Predictably, Tennessee’s globicans Corker and Alexander voted for it.

The G8 bill was an amnesty plan, plain and simple. It provided a blanket amnesty called “registered provisional immigrant status” for illegal aliens in the U.S. before 12/31/11. Even the Congressional Budget office agreed that the bill gave amnesty to illegals, and also reported that the G8 plan would barely make a dent in reducing future illegal immigration.

The G8 bill also incorporated the goals of the DREAM Act to amnesty illegal aliens who entered the U.S. before age 16, whether brought by parents at a young age or entering on their own.

Each group of amnestied illegal aliens would ultimately be able to naturalize and become voters.

Little Marco Rubio (so named by Trump during a primary debates), was one of the bipartisan co-sponsors of the bill. Rubio has also been a gigantic proponent of expanding the corrupt H1B visa program which serves to undercut employment of American workers by replacing them with cheaper foreign labor. Disney CEO Bob Iger who has used the H1B visa program to dump 250 American computer programmers and replace them with foreign workers, has dumped several million dollars into Rubio.

Never-Trumper Mittens Romney scaled back tough talk on on illegal immigration after securing the GOP nomination in 2012, and starting soft-walking his own version of an amnesty-type plan.

As a U.S. Senator, his real colors on illegal immigration are showing; he voted against funding the border wall and joined with 11 other Republican defectors (which included Rubio and Lamar), to obstruct the President’s legal executive authority in issuing an emergency declaration about the crisis on the Southern border and the need to fund the wall.

Hagerty has proudly announced McConnell’s endorsement for his Senate run.

Hagerty was a Jeb! delegate in 2016 but after Jeb! withdrew, Hagerty flipped to supporting Rubio. (BTW, Haslam was also a Rubio supporter).

Hagerty was Romney’s national finance chairman for the failed 2012 presidential campaign. According to Chris Devaney who is chairing Dr. Manny Sethi’s campaign for Senate, Romney has endorsed Hagerty for the same Senate seat.

Hagerty Redefines Bipartisanship and Shares Political Consultant with David Briley!

Up until Briley lost big in his Nashville mayoral race on Thursday night, he and Hagerty were using the same fundraiser and political consultant, a young woman named Kim Kaegi.

Talk about redefining bipartisanship!!!!!

Kaegi jumped on the Briley team before Hagerty announced – a fact that would likely would have been known to experienced politicos Hagerty and Ward Baker who is running Hagerty’s campaign. And before Briley, Kaegi was on the payroll of the self-disgraced super radical, former mayor Megan Barry.

The optics of this may only bother the little people like the voters, not those who consider themselves above all those little details. After all, isn’t it always about “bipartisanship”?????

More recently team Hagerty announced that the super-establishment swamp leader Mitch McConnell has endorsed Hagerty for the Senate.

That’s an announcement not likely to make Tennessee conservatives feel all warm and fuzzy nor want to support Hagerty for Lamar’s Senate seat.

Talk about tone-deaf when it comes to Tennessee conservatives.

No one should be surprised about McConnell’s endorsement which is just a product of swamp politics. Ward Baker is close to swamp buddy McConnell. Baker has served as a political advisor to McConnell and for a time, was the executive director for the National Republican Senatorial Committee.

Hagerty has WAY more baggage than Baker’s other Senatorial campaign winner, Marsha Blackburn. Piling on endorsements – even from Trump – is not likely to distract Tennessee conservatives from seeing what Hagerty is really about.

Hagerty describes himself as conservative family man in his campaign launch video. If he was telling the truth, he’d admit to being a political opportunist whose allegiances at the end of the day will be to elitist establishment globalists who he’s counting on to get him elected.

After Haslam appointed Hagerty to ECD Commissioner, Hagerty used his position to benefit Lamar Alexander’s son and daughter., He promoted Lamar’s son Will Alexander, to chief of staff at ECD. Before leaving ECD, Hagerty hired Lamar’s daughter Leslee to work for ECD.

On the heels of Will’s promotion, Hagerty hired Alice Rolli a former Lamar staffer in D.C. One year later, Rolli served as campaign manager for Lamar’s 2014 primary.

And being the political opportunist that he is, Hagerty signed on as a Jeb! delegate and only flipped to Trump after he won the primary.

And Hagerty political resume would be complete without again mentioning his role in Mittens Romney’s presidential campaign.

Starting to see a pattern of political allegiance?

The other big “gift” that Hagerty bestowed on Tennessee was hiring sharia finance specialist Samar Ali after her father called and asked Hagerty to take a look at her resume. Did Hagerty even bother to look at other resumes – you know, from just regular Tennesseans who didn’t have Hagerty’s cell phone number?

Samar’s father Subhi Ali has been chairing the board of the D.C. based Israel and Jew hating organization Jerusalem Fund, since 2005. Before becoming the chairman, he served as vice-chair alongside the Fund’s founder Hisham Sharabi, a prolific writer who glorified Arab terrorists.

Under Subhi Ali’s leadership, the Jerusalem Fund has hosted speakers who deny Israel’s right to exist, promote the Boycott, Divestment & Sanctions (BDS) campaign against Israel, and attempt to deconstruct the narrative of HAMAS as a terrorist organization.

HAMAS is a U.S. designated terrorist organization.

Samar Ali served as treasurer helping Zulfat Suara, chair fo the American Muslim Advisory Council (AMAC) from 2012 – 2019, get elected to the Metro Nashville Council. Suara is an ardent admirer of anti-Israel Muslims in Congress Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib and under her leadership the AMAC signed onto TIRRC’s illegal immigration agenda for Nashville.

Putting Hagerty in a U.S. Senate seat means everyone from the globalist and big money Tennessee Republicans to his cell phone buddies, will have access. It will be Tennessee’s conservatives left standing outside the door.
