For decades, American parents and community members have elected those they believed had their child’s best interests in mind when it came to their education.  Today, In hundreds of cities, and counties across the country, education is no longer the priority, social justice is.

A new culture exists not only to further dumb down children, but now to exploit their race, gender, and status. It is called Critical Race Theory (CRT). Beware though, those 3 words may not be present in curriculum or instructional material, but parents should note the presence of terms such as diversity, equity, equality,  anti-racism, social justice and civil rights.   

Do not for one second think your child is not being exposed to todays cancel culture or a teacher’s radical ideology, it is everywhere, and if it has not reared its ugly head in your community yet, look closer, it is there. Fortunately, in many states, teaching CRT has been banned by state laws, but unfortunately, many of those laws lack teeth.  

Parents need to demand their school board members carefully monitor their teachers and instructional materials. Despite curriculum aligning with states standards, CRT can be introduced with classroom videos, books and websites that never are talked about at home. Textbooks no longer are the sole source of questionable instruction because parents took control of their content when common core was introduced.

In Tennessee, a new state law defines what can and cannot be taught regarding CRT

  The Tennessee law  prohibits the following:

  (1) One race or sex is inherently superior to another race or sex;

(2) An individual, by virtue of the individual’s race or sex, is inherently privileged, racist, sexist, or oppressive, whether consciously or subconsciously

(3) An individual should be discriminated against or receive adverse treatment because of the individual’s race or sex;

(4) An individual’s moral character is determined by the individual’s race or sex;

(5) An individual, by virtue of the individual’s race or sex, bears responsibility for actions committed in the past by other members of the same race or sex;

(6) An individual should feel discomfort, guilt, anguish, or another form of psychological distress solely because of the individual’s race or sex;

(7) A meritocracy is inherently racist or sexist, or designed by a particular race or sex to oppress members of another race or sex;

(8) This state or the United States is fundamentally or irredeemably racist or sexist;

9) Promoting or advocating the violent overthrow of the United States government;

 

(10) Promoting division between, or resentment of, a race, sex, religion, creed, nonviolent political affiliation, social class, or class of people; or

(11) Ascribing character traits, values, moral or ethical codes, privileges, or beliefs to a race or sex, or to an individual because of the individual’s race or sex.

 

This isn’t educating children, this is bullying them. Interestingly enough, schools in Tennessee have bullying and harassment policies that every one of the above points encourages. Imagine a teacher wanting to harm the very children they are charged with caring for. Even worse imagine a school board member thinking of CRT as only a political wedge.

That is exactly what Mr. Pat Barton of  the Coffee County TN School Board believes. On July 19^th, I sent an email to the entire school board along with the Director, asking them their opinion of CRT, and how they would respond if a teacher was found to be violating TN law that prohibits teaching CRT as stated in above points.

Mr. Barton’s answer was disgraceful, and this should grate on every parent.   “CRT is nothing more than the flavor of the month, and we will have another flavor next year. Our fine legislators will see that when bills are passed as hastily as this do nothing but cause confusion and take the focus off teaching and learning. You have asked how I will react if one of our teachers disobeys the law and incorporates CRT into his/her instruction.  I will ask to see the state standard the teacher was teaching in the lesson. I will then ask to see the lesson plan for the lesson taught.  I will then make a determination if factual information was taught. Once I am satisfied that my criteria was met. a reply will be given. My reply to the teacher will be, “Job well done, keep up the good work!”

Teaching children America is racist and that black children are oppressed is the flavor of the month? Being flippant regarding a very dangerous ideology, and then implying he may condone a teacher breaking a law sends a message he is no longer fit to be a school board member.

Mr Barton further states: “One area that is prohibited from being taught is, “Promoting the violent overthrow of the U.S. government”.  I personally don’t know of any teacher who has ever promoted the overthrow of the U.S. government.  How would I react if we had a teacher promoting such?  My vote would be to dismiss the teacher.  However, our students don’t need teachers promoting the overthrow of our government. They have lived during an attempted overthrow of our government. They can research the  last year in office of our former president to understand how to plan for an overthrow to come about. They can then find videos to observe the violence that occured when the U.S. Capitol was breached. However, one can refuse to believe their lying eyes and conclude the breach was nothing more than a typical Capitol tour”.   

Another red flag. Mr. Pat Barton insinuates his personal beliefs. Whether factual or not, or proven or not. This is exactly why CRT was banned.  On a side topic, Mr. Barton also expressed during a school board meeting parents need to get their children vaccinated. None of Mr. Barton’s business.

None of the other Coffee County board members felt it was important enough to answer my email, leaving one to think silence is complicity. 

Parents, and community members the ball is in your court. Perhaps today CRT is not an issue in our small county, but undoubtedly tomorrow it will be. These are your children. Stand up for them, and stop being cowards. Demand, DEMAND, school boards do what they were elected to do,  and not to promote their personal agendas. Today’s children are the leaders of tomorrow. School for them isn’t about exceptionalism, it’s all about learning how to be little socialist activists.

 

Critical Race Theory is not about “telling the truth “about history.  It is not about exceptionalism, and a child reaching their maximum potential. It is not about student growth and preparedness for a good future. It is not about students constructively, or fairly learning the sins of our nation.

Critical Race Theory is about the destruction of your children’s educations. It is about dividing children into classes based on their skin color. It is about reparations for events that happened before any teacher or child was born. It is about hate. It is about enhancing a flawed, and deceptive view on history to benefit a race that blames everyone for what they feel is oppression.  It is based on lies.

So why are teachers, unions, and organizations pushing this tale?  To create mini social justice activists that in time, will rise against the basic institutions and beliefs the United States of America was founded on.  It will turn children away from their parents, and the values they instilled in them. It will create a country filled with radicals that seek to dismantle and alter the fabric of our Constitution and faith.

This is why so may states have passed legislation to ban the teaching of a “theory”.

This is also why the largest teachers union, the National Education Association (NEA) has proclaimed they will defend and protect teachers who break their state laws. At a recent virtual annual meeting and representative assembly, an “action” was adopted that promotes the following.

This is not education, this is indoctrination. 

In an article published in the Dailywire by Luke Rosiak on June 21 2021, he exposes hundreds of teachers throughout the country that have vowed to teach CRT, despite many of their respective states banning it. The following is the names of teachers in Tennessee that have made this pledge.

Parents, no matter what school district you live in..city, county, big or small..it is imperative you fight this. In Tennessee, the Teachers Education Association and it’s smaller affiliates like the Coffee County Education Association, all fall under the National Education Association. It is up to the parents, and the community to hold not just the local districts responsible, but individual teachers who whether openly, or privately have decided to break the law. 

As discussed in Part one, Tennessee’s Education Commissioner, Penny Schwinn has been given approval to withhold state funds from any districts that are found to be teaching CRT. The problem with that is many districts need that funding, and eventually it will be those students will suffer the most. Perhaps it is time we rethink who is responsible, and hold teachers breaking the law to the same standard any other law breakers face. Steep fines, and the loss of their teachers license would profoundly affect those that defy the law.

So what can parents and community members do? Considering children are our most important assets for our future, start attending school board meetings! Learn who your elected school board members are and contact them. Ask those uncomfortable questions, and demand answers. Now is not the time to be afraid to speak out..our future depends on it. 

Look at who  your local school district union leaders are. What are their beliefs? What statements have they made on social media or in school resource papers? In Coffee County, English teacher Mike Stein, had this to say regarding the teaching of CRT which was published in the TN Chalkbeat news. 

 

The blatant disregard and deceptive description of what CRT is by those charged with teaching our children is not only disgraceful but dangerous. Not only is it putting your child’s school in danger of losing funding, but further instills a sense of violating laws is ok to do if you disagree with them. 

Wake up folks, your children are today’s target. It is time to get involved. Say no to Critical Race Theory and to those who teach it.

Once again Tennessee’s weak mayors and county executives are choosing to be followers rather than leaders when it comes to the Corona virus. While wearing a mask should be a personal choice, lefty leaners feel its citizens are not responsible or smart enough to make that choice , hence many continue to issue mask mandates. One example of that is from the Warren County Tennessee County Executive Jimmy Haley, who on August 13, declared masks are now mandated throughout the city of McMinnville and county.

 

It is obvious County Executive Haley needed a power boost, as he waited until late in the game to announce his mandate. According to the TN Department of Health Covid numbers as of Aug 13, the same date Mr. Haley declared his mandate, Warren County had the data below.

However on July 13, Warren County had the highest number of reported cases, 32, yet no mask mandate for residents. If masks work, why would Mr. Haley have waited until now to issue his order? The population of Warren County TN is 39,839, and total number of cases to date is 567, with 4 deaths. As with the majority of cities and counties across Tennessee, the numbers do not make sense, nor do the mandates put in place according to those numbers.

The mask debate is a very controversial one, with many professionals at odds. For every one health official stating masks work, there is one that argues they do not. Even the current CDC mask information page states mask MAY work, but not necessarily for the wearer. Just more conflicting, and confusing data.

So as this subject and liberal coward elected officials continue to divide residents of every county, city and state, elected officials take the stand depending on their own personal ideology, forgetting this is America, the freest country on earth. Health decisions are a personal choice, not one meant for government to dictate. We do not live in a sterile society, nor will we ever.  

 The choice to wear a mask should not be the decision by the government, but by the individual.

I haven’t been as ashamed of my country as I am now since Obama was reelected in 2012.

The reaction to COVID-19 from the President on down has been nothing but irrational panic on different levels, often resulting in good old fashioned tyranny of the kind we haven’t seen in our country since its founding. In some cases, the policies may be well-intended, but they are nevertheless tyrannical.

Instead of being the “home of the free and land of the brave”, we have become the land of the naïve and afraid!

No disrespect intended to the elderly and others with compromised immune systems who do have more to fear from COVID 19 than does the average person, my beef is with the rest of the folks – whether they be elected officials or average Joe’s – that not only freaked out for their own health and safety, but wanted everybody else to be just as scared and compliant as they are.

I hold in special contempt those officials that established snitch lines to report any citizen not fully terrified and compliant with whatever stupid policy they had established and those that snitched on their neighbor or others they observed daring to be free.

Yes, I know that fear of the unknown is a great motivator, but fear is also a terrible emotion around which to make policy, especially irrational fear.

I understand that the President couldn’t just ignore it; and, in fact, he rightfully took swift action to stop travel from China early on when he found out about the virus – for which the Left and the so-called experts initially criticized him for doing.

I understand that the original models warned of over 2 million casualties from the virus and President Trump felt pressure to act. While we know now that those projections were wildly inaccurate, it’s hard to believe whatever number with which we finally end up due to numerous accounts of doctors being encouraged to list the cause of death as COVID-19 without testing or even when other factors are involved. Hospitals also now have financial incentives through Medicare to list COVID-19 as the culprit.

So, while it is great news that the projected number of infections, hospitalizations and deaths will be much lower than anticipated, the damage done by all the lockdowns is only getting worse. Our economy is being destroyed, along with the prosperity of many of our citizens. Many small business owners will be ruined permanently. All for an overblown threat!

But the bigger issue that every American should be concerned about is what government at the different levels has done in the name of health/safety, and worse yet what most of the citizens of our country and state have accepted as necessary. Things such as closing down businesses deemed “nonessential”.

How can it be constitutional for the government at any level to tell citizens that the legal business or job that they do to support themselves and their family can’t be done? If that is not tyrannical, what is?

How can it be constitutional to shut down churches, or limit attendees to 10 people and mandate 6 feet of separation between members?

When was the 1^st Amendment and corresponding state-recognized rights of citizens repealed? I must have missed that Amendment process all together.

How can it be constitutional to dictate how many people can attend a public meeting, or even a private gathering?

How can it be constitutional to stop elective medical procedures? How many are suffering now because of that decision? How many in the medical profession have been laid off now because of this policy?

We are committing national suicide of our economy and our rights over an overblown “invisible enemy” that we now know is not any deadlier than the seasonal flu!

We have closed our schools and universities. The bright side of that particular closure is less leftwing indoctrination for our kids, but the panic that caused it is still wrong.

Apparently, most Americans have never heard the saying “those that would give up liberty for security deserve neither”. Maybe most Americans are just American-In-Name-Only today ?

We have never shut down our economy before and infringed on the basic rights and freedoms of this many Americans in any past pandemic or the numerous wars in which we have engaged with visible and real enemies. And you can’t defeat any enemy – visible or not – with a decimated economy.

At this rate, many Americans will be hypocrites when they celebrate the 4^th of July. And certainly many will be hypocrites when they pretend to honor the sacrifices of our Veterans that died upholding their oath to the Constitution which recognizes our GOD-given rights that so many have readily given up!

While Tennessee hasn’t been as draconian in policy or enforcement as other states, it is still tyrannical and unconstitutional.

What makes Tennessee’s situation so egregious is that the broad emergency powers being exercised by Gov Lee, though statute (TCA Code 58-2-107) are in direct contradiction with the state constitution and the Declaration of Rights found in Article I of the Tennessee Constitution. In some cases, the violations are obvious and direct. In others – such as closing small businesses while allowing other big box stores to remain open – the spirit of the law, if not the letter, have been violated.

Below are just a few of those rights that stand out given the stated intent of the document:

“ARTICLE I. Declaration of Rights.

“Section 1. That all power is inherent in the people, and all free governments are founded on their authority, and instituted for their peace, safety, and happiness; for the advancement of those ends they have at all times, an unalienable and indefeasible right to alter, reform, or abolish the government in such manner as they may think proper.

“Section 2. That government being instituted for the common benefit, the doctrine of nonresistance against arbitrary power and oppression is absurd, slavish, and destructive of the good and happiness of mankind.

“Section 3. That all men have a natural and indefeasible right to worship Almighty God according to the dictates of their own conscience; that no man can of right be compelled to attend, erect, or support any place of worship, or to maintain any minister against his consent; that no human authority can, in any case whatever, control or interfere with the rights of conscience; and that no preference shall ever be given, by law, to any religious establishment or mode of worship.”

“Section 8. That no man shall be taken or imprisoned, or disseized of his freehold, liberties or privileges, or outlawed, or exiled, or in any manner destroyed or deprived of his life, liberty or property, but by the judgment of his peers, or the law of the land.”

“Section 17. That all courts shall be open; and every man, for an injury done him in his lands, goods, person or reputation, shall have remedy by due course of law, and right and justice administered without sale, denial, or delay. Suits may be brought against the state in such manner and in such courts as the Legislature may by law direct.”

“Section 20. That no retrospective law, or law impairing the obligations of contracts, shall be made.”

“Section 22. That perpetuities and monopolies are contrary to the genius of a free state, and shall not be allowed.

“Section 23. That the citizens have a right, in a peaceable manner, to assemble together for their common good, to instruct their representatives, and to apply to those invested with the powers of government for redress of grievances, or other proper purposes, by address of remonstrance.”

Furthermore, Article XI, Section 16 of the Tennessee Constitution states, “The declaration of rights hereto prefixed is declared to be a part of the Constitution of this State, and shall never be violated on any pretense whatever. And to guard against transgression of the high powers we have delegated, we declare that everything in the bill of rights contained, is excepted out of the General powers of government, and shall forever remain inviolate.”

What this means is that the legislature in the past gave the Governor powers that they didn’t even possess and that are clearly unconstitutional at the state level alone. There is no constitutional basis for much of what the Governor has done even in the name of an “emergency”.

That means that the disastrous decisions made by Governor Lee – albeit with political cover provided by the President and others – can and should be remedied by the legislature. It means there is a check on King Lee’s powers.

The bottom line is that we should demand the legislature redo the statute in accordance with the state constitution even if that means calling a special session to do so. Any legislator not willing to address this fundamental constitutional issue doesn’t deserve the support of voters that care about their own livelihood and liberty!

In history, as wars were fought and lives were lost, the enemy was clearly defined and recognized. Today, that enemy is disguised in many ways, often leading to millions of people unknowingly aiding, supporting and defending them. The line between good and evil is blurred now more than ever.

Unfortunately, one of the first casualties of this new war is our faith institutions. Accepting, and promoting the beliefs of Islam has diminished the ability for congregants to understand Islam is an enemy. Instead, by allowing Imams to compare Jesus to Muhammad, and the bible to the Koran, faithful Christians believe they must accept and tolerate or be labeled a hater, bigot or islamophobe.

This is the foundation for one of today’s current controversial issues..refugees and immigration. What should be a debate solely based on the United States Constitution, and our own laws is now an emotional, religious one. Muslim organizations, specifically the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) have continued their relationship with the U.S Conference of Catholic Bishops, (USCCB) which is clearly a match made in hell, pushing forward the agenda of Islamists to fulfill their global caliphate.

Once again using diversity as the guise to counter President Trumps reduction of refugees, several bishops issued this joint statement “ Further reductions in the number of refugees allowed to seek freedom in the United States would be wholly counter to our values as a nation of immigrants”. It further reads “America welcomes refugees, that is who we are, that is what we do. Such reductions would undermine America’s leadership role as a global champion and protector of religious freedom and human rights”.
Equating accepting refugees as the Christian thing to do is an emotional response to a political decision, and we must not intertwine the two. We cannot use religion as a base to make policy. Faith leaders are blurring the line, which in turn promotes the Islamists agenda, where there is no separation of mosque and state. Whether knowingly or with ignorance, the very highest Catholic leaders are choosing to do business with those that mock them in their own documents.

They have one goal. The return of an Islamic Caliphate: One god, One religion, and one government. The notion any men of true faith would consider Islam to be peaceful, or willing to co-exist is frightening, but according to Bishop Mitchell T. Rozanski of Springfield, Massachusetts who in 2016 stated “As the national conversation around Islam grows increasingly fraught, coarse and driven by fear and often willful misinformation, the Catholic Church must help to model real dialogue and good will,” said Bishop Rozanski. “Our current dialogues have advanced the goals of greater understanding, mutual esteem and collaboration between Muslims and Catholics, and the members have established lasting ties of friendship and a deep sense of trust.”

Fear and willful misinformation? Muslims assaulting the beliefs of millions of Christians throughout the United States by insisting Allah is the same god, is willful misinformation. Knowing our leaders trust the enemy is the fear.
The profession of faith in the Catholic church in part states:

I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ,
the Only Begotten Son of God,
born of the Father before all ages.
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father;
through him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation
he came down from heaven,
and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary,
and became man.

In chapter VII page 87 of the Islamic Methodology of Dawa (Methodology of Dawah) it states:

“The Christian community of America will need a special approach to make them understand their misguided concept about Jesus (PBUH). Prophet Jesus (PBUH) was also a messenger of God, as others were. He was born without a father as a miracle of God. There is nothing spectacular in it, if we believe in God, in His absolute power and in His total control over the natural phenomenon. He can create anything just by ordering “Be” and “it is done.” He created Jesus without a father. He created Adam without a father or a mother, and Eve without a mother. They do not ascribe the attributes of God to either one of them. How then, can they profess Jesus to be the Son of God. It is illogical and quite absurd. Jesus was a Prophet and a man. He had all the human needs and weaknesses. He ate food for his existence, slept for rest and did all the other things a human being needs for his survival. By their misconstrued conception innovated by St. Paul, Christians have made Jesus (PBUH) into a “Human-God.” This is clear idolatry. Making partners with God is a sin. He will never forgive this sin”

How does one gain a “deep sense of trust” from those whose writings reveal their true feelings and intent? How can Bishops believe that have formed “lasting ties of friendship” with Muslims when their doctrine, their holy book the Quran has at least 14 verses that a Muslim is not the friend of a Kafir (non- believer)

Sura 5:51 O ye who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians for friends. They are friends one to another. He among you who taketh them for friends is (one) of them.

One of the Hadiths, the traditions of Mohammed’s life states:
“May Allah curse the Jews and the Christians . . . for they make places of worship out of the prophet’s graves”

The only willful misinformation comes from the mouths of the Islamists which is known as Taqiyyah, the art of deception, permissible in Islamic law. Perhaps leaders of all faiths should trust and believe those in their own flock before embracing the enemy.
Catholics and Christians need to understand, with the continued push to allow Muslim refugees to come to America is the Hijra. In order to bring about the global caliphate, the population of Muslims must be in great numbers, and allowing the onslaught of refugees does exactly that.

These are just a few of faces that the Tennessee Immigrant and Refugee Rights Coalition (TIRRC) advocate for on a daily basis. Illegal criminal aliens, that rape, murder and rob.

TIRRC resists and works to abolish law enforcement, those who stand the line between good and evil. Without them, we will descend into chaos and destruction. TIRRC demands the end of local agencies working with federal law enforcement.

TIRRC also promotes criminal justice reform. Emptying our prisons, lessening bail amounts, and pushing for sanctuary for societies worst. Here, in the TIRRC report titled “Beyond Welcoming” TIRRC pushes to decriminalize “low level” crimes which often lead to more crime.

TIRRC supports open borders, which diminishes the safety, security and sovereignty of the United States. Every country has its borders, and we must fight to retain ours.

These are just some of the issues the Tennessee Immigrant and Refugee Rights Coalition defends and fights for every day. They are against every fiber of decency, safety and normalcy that we know. These are the same people that chastise and label us haters, bigots or racists. The very same individuals that demand we change our laws to accommodate the lawless. The same individuals that demand rights for those who should have none. They hate our Constitution yet hide behind it every day. They hate you for your beliefs, yet insist you tolerate theirs.
it is time to fight back, it’s time to be angry.  Our voices must rise above theirs, and our demands must be stronger. We are the people, not them. We are what makes America great, not them.

But most of all, they are the haters..not us. 

Once again, an organization claiming to have strong Christian values succumbs to social pressure causing many Christian customers to doubt their validity or sincerity.  Chick- Fil- A, who recently fell to pressure from the LGBTQ community by stopping donations to charities like the Salvation Army that stand for traditional marriages, now has more issues.  

According to a statement released by the Family Research Council’s President, Tony Perkins, Chick-Fil-A donated $ 2,500 in 2017 to the anti-Christian Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC).  Perkins states  “Tax reports have now exposed Chick-fil-A for funding the anti-Christian Southern Poverty Law Center; an organization linked in federal court to domestic terrorism after their smear campaign of Christian organizations resulted in a shooting in which the gunman planned to smear Chick-fil-A sandwiches in the faces of his victims.  Not only has Chick-fil-A abandoned donations to Christian groups including the Salvation Army, it has donated to one of the most extreme anti-Christian groups in America.”

Another organization Chick- Fil- A has donated to is the uber liberal “Teach For America. TFA claims on their website to be “actively recruiting” illegal aliens who have been granted temporary deportation through the unconstitutional DACA program. After one month of TFA summer training the “DACAmented teacher” can be placed in a Tennessee public school.

In 2006, Memphis began partnering with TFA and three years later, Metro Nashville Public Schools followed. In 2014, the Islamic Center of Nashville whose president Rashed Fakhruddin helps train Metro middle and high school teachers, hosted TFA recruits at the mosque.

It should be no surprise then, that in June of 2018, we here at Dailyrollcall.com uncovered that Chick-Fil-A was providing halal (permissible) chicken to the Muslim Brotherhood front group the Islamic Society of North America. ISNA isn’t the only Muslim Brotherhood group to claim that, the Muslim Student Association at Virginia Common Wealth University also suggests the Chick-fil-A on their campus sells food Muslims can eat. Several attempts were made to confirm or deny the issue regarding halal food, however Chick-Fil-A never responded to our phone calls or emails.

 

Perhaps one reason CFA is having these troubles is due to the hiring of leftist Rodney Bullard, the current Vice President of Community Affairs at Chick-fil-A,Inc. and Executive Director of the Chick-fil-A Foundation. Bullard was a fellow in the Bush Administration, but he was also an Obama donor, and in 2016 donated to Hillary Clinton’s campaign.  

Bullard being in the position to determine where contributions go, seems to be very comfortable giving to groups such as Atlanta’s  Westside Future Fund, a project of the Atlanta Committee for Progress together with former Mayor Mohammed Kasim Reed.  Some of the other social justice recipients include $25,000 for UNICEF, $20,000  to the Latino Leaders Network,  $20,000 to the Harvard Debate Diversity Network, $45,000 to the King Center for Nonviolent Social Change, and $5,000 was allotted to Friends of Refugees. All left leaning non profits.

The blame can’t fully be placed on Bullard though. Being hired in 2011, it should have been a red flag that Christian organizations were no longer receiving grants, and liberal, social justice ones were. Where is the founder and CEO Dan Cathey? If Chick-Fil-A wants to stay in business, or at least claim their Christian values, it may behoove them to replace Bullard. Good luck with that.
