Well get ready because if you vote for candidates like Mike Stein, Jerri Green or Victoria Broadrick you’re welcoming it. Too many voters are not educating themselves, and that applies to both parties. Its easier to vote for who’s nice, who’s promising all good things or has a good slogan. In the case of Mike Stein, “people over politics” is the slogan of choice. But what people? Here Mr. Stein shows off his hat that translates to “F” (fuck) Maga.
Safe to say many voters in Coffee County and Tennessee should be offended. Mr. Stein is saying all the right things, however here he stands with Victoria Broaderick, candidate for Congress that is endorsed by the Socialist party here in TN. Yes the Middle Tennessee Democrat Socialists.
“People over Politics” sounds great, but what does it mean? Politics, regardless of which side, is how a society operates from laws to policies. Politics, whether we like it or not is part of our lives. “People over politics” is dismissive and in this case a deflection to what candidates that belong to the current Democrat party want you to ignore.
In reference to accepting those identifying as socialists, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer stated, “Look, we are a big tent party, and being a big tent party is a strength, not a weakness”. Democrats that care about America should be sprinting away from the socialists not aligning with them.
Jerri Green may appear to be a breath of fresh air, but much like Zohran Mandami’s platform, Green’s is very much the same. Many of her ideas sound good, however you must look at the total picture and bottom line. Socialism is all about sharing wealth. Green’s bottom line is creating classes of people, but not all people, not you and not me. Most would read her bullet points and like what they see..look a little more and you will see the focus is on “marginalized communities”. Look even more and ask how ideas are paid for. Her campaign headline says it all. “Standing up for Marginalized Communities”. How about standing up for Tennesseans!
Public colleges required to pay for women’s health? Grant money to “marginalized” groups? State funds for immigrants facing deportation?
Todays Republican party isn’t perfect, but the love for the greatest country on earth and the right to keep our freedoms, our safety and the ability to prosper is still a priority. Socialism has failed everywhere it has reared its head.
America is in a divided state, why would we vote for a candidate that clearly intends to create a class of people to protect. Think before you vote, choose America.
